Southern and her team met with European citizens, EU politicians, migrants, a human trafficker, an NGO leader, and a militia group protecting Europe’s borders. Southern found that most of the migrants are not from countries at war, but are economic migrants that were sold a fantasy about unlimited wealth.
Pope Francis urged the world’s 1.3-billion Catholics not to ignore the plight of migrants and compared them with Joseph and Mary, but failed to mention that Joseph and Mary went to Bethlehem to register for a government census. They were not refugees. King Herod issued a decree to kill all the newborn male children because he heard that the Messiah had been born and wanted to exterminate competition for power. Joseph and Mary escaped to Egypt, which was also part of the Roman empire. Their stay was only temporary, and they returned to Nazareth when it was safe.
Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus said that Europe has not kept its promises on the migrant deal and, therefore, the agreement is ended, and Turkey is threatening to unleash two-million migrants on Europe. This would be a self-punishing move on the part of the Turks inasmuch as the Dutch invest $22 billion per year in Turkey and are Turkey’s 10th largest importer. Invasion by immigration would guarantee a backlash in Europe and a recession in Turkey.
Dimitris Avramopoulos, the EU’s Commissioner for Migration, has publicly called for the admittance of 6-million more immigrants into Europe. He recommends establishing offices in all the countries of the southern coast of the Mediterranean and West Africa to oversee the ‘legal’ immigration that will screen out nationalists and populists. He also lied when he said that all but one Islamic terror attack was committed by a refugee.
