September 19, 2018 0

Syria: A Russian military plane was shot down accidentally by Syrian anti-aircraft fire, killing all 15 on board. Initially, Moscow blamed Israel, because Israeli jets were flying in the same area as the passenger route and, thereby, attracted Syrian anti-aircraft fire into the path of the passenger plane.

Offline is a documentary on the inevitability of the Earth being slammed by a mega solar flare – not the common type that interrupts communications and creates a light show in the Northern skies – but the big brothers thousands of times more powerful. These monsters deliver enough energy to blow apart the master transformers that supply the planet’s energy grids. When that happens, the lights go out for longer than anyone wants to think about. These X-Class solar storms hit the Earth every 150 years, on average. The last one arrived 156 years ago. We are overdue (More)

Titanic: A Perfect Crime, a novel by Patrea Patrick, explores little known facts of that famous tragedy and provides jaw-dropping insights to new discoveries that came with the finding of the 100-year-old ship wreck. The book’s scenario of what really happened that fateful night is amazingly consistent with the historical record. No other theory explains so many parts of the mystery. (More)

Ten Days at Jekyll Island, a novel by Patrea Patrick, tells the true story of a secret meeting held in November of 1910 on a privately owned resort island, the outcome of which drastically changed the world. It was at this meeting that a banking cartel was forged; a cartel that, three years later, would be issued a government charter to do business as The United States Federal Reserve System. You will discover why secrecy was essential. Based on historical documentation from The Creature from Jekyll Island by G. Edward Griffin. (More)

Need to Know is as serious as it gets, but laughter is good for the soul and helps maintain sanity amid the chaos.

A cowboy walks into a bar, orders three mugs of beer, and drinks them by taking sips out of each one in turn. When he orders three more, the bartender says: “You know, a mug goes flat after I draw it, and it would taste better if you bought one at a time.” The cowboy says: “I have two brothers. One is an Airborne Ranger, the other is a Navy Seal, both now serving overseas. When we all left our home, we promised we’d drink this way to remember the days when we drank together. So I’m drinking one beer for each of my brothers and one for myself.” The cowboy becomes a regular in the bar and always drinks the same way but, one day, he only orders two mugs. All the regulars fall silent, and the bartender says: “I don’t want to intrude on your grief, but I just want to offer my condolences on your loss.” The cowboy laughs and says: “No, it’s not that. Everybody’s fine. It’s just that, last Sunday, my wife and I joined the 1st Baptist Church, and I had to quit drinking. Hasn’t affected my brothers though.”

WHAT CAN WE BELIEVE ABOUT PUERTO RICO’S ECONOMIC CRISIS?
2018 Aug 30 from Damaris Bracero
Can you please bring some clarity to what exactly is going on in Puerto Rico? Since I was raised on the “mainland” I am not totally aware of all the political corruption that is so evident in the island. Thank you.

GEG REPLY:
I am not sure I am well enough informed to adequately answer this question but I can at least comment on how it appears to me.

Prior to the Hurricanes, Puerto Rico owed bondholders somewhere on the order of $70-billion, with most of that tied to general-obligation bonds, revenue bonds, and bonds issued by the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority. It is unlikely that Puerto Rico, with a workforce of 1.4 million workers out of a population of 3.3 million people (42% unemployment rate) will ever be able to repay $70-billion in debt, especially since the politicians ware still going further into debt each year. Now, as the island reels from the carnage of hurricanes, politicians see it as a windfall. Looking like humanitarians instead of spendthrifts, they speak of helping the people and the need to rebuild the devastated economy. Supposedly, the reason the economy is devastated is the hurricane, because they never speak of the national debt they incurred. So, in the name of humanity, they are asking Congress give them $139-billion from American taxpayers. Not too bad! The government of Puerto Rico owes $90-billion it cannot repay but now is in line to get all that plus another $49-billion, supposedly for humanitarian purposes but which, if true to past performance in Puerto Rico, will go mostly to corrupt officials and their families as gross over payment for reconstruction and human services.

CALIFORNIA NOT AS CONTROLLED BY DEMOCRATS AS IT SEEMS?
2018 Aug 29 from Boomer Lady
[Related to article]

In spite of being the minority party in California, John Cox managed to win one of only two positions in our abysmal Top Two vote scheme, showing how angry much of the voters of this state are at the Democrats. Life here is frustrating to me as a registered Independent and among all my similarly registered friends, and among Republicans, and even among quite a few Democrats. And Independents are about 40% of registered voters, so we have a good chance of voting in John Cox. I ask you please to stop running such pessimistic stories like this.

READER SAYS THREAT AGAINST CHILDREN OF NRA SPOKESWOMAN WAS JUST AN OPINION
2018 Aug 29 from Ed
[Related to article]
That wasn’t a threat. It was an opinion. Stop acting like a liberal/progressive.

GEG REPLY
Ed, technically, you are correct in saying it is an expression of opinion when someone says that, if it takes one of your own children to be killed before you agree with gun control, then that’s what it will take – but most people are smart enough to know a veiled threat when they hear it. This reminds me of a mobster saying: “You have a very pretty wife. It would be a shame if anything happened to her.” Technically, that statement is just an opinion, but it is clearly understood as a serious threat. Think about it, Ed, and I’m sure you will see the parallel.

While you are thinking about that, you may want to check out a few more threats this lady received where there was no veil at all. This tells us what the mindset of these people really is. Dana Loesch had to move out of her home last October due to such threats – one included a man threatening to rape her to death. Another man got hold of her cell phone number and told her he was going to shoot her in her front yard. Here are the details.

IS TRUMP ROTHSCHILD’S PUPPET?
2018 May 11 from Duane Weber
[Related to article]
I understand your argument. Many questions need to be answered tho. Trump has done or pursued his campaign promises. Nationalism vs. Socialism. Efforts to keep money in the US thru reduced taxes, renegotiated tariffs, killing of climate accord, judges that interpret Constitution as Constitution, building up military, pursuing merit based immigration, closing borders, preserving the 2nd amendment and much more. These are all good things. I do not see how you can piss all over the money interest in the world without blow back and so there seemingly has to be concessions to those people as you work to change things. We were on the verge with Clinton to a Socialist takeover and that Sir would have been total disaster. So while I can agree with you that there is a Trump connection to Rothschild, I don’t necessarily agree he is not also a Patriot. He works to do good things in spite of all the negativism. You may be right but you may also be wrong in your overall assessment. I do not know about the Soros acceptance but I do doubt that. I do see him trying to reverse those things Soros backs… including Antifa, hoards of immigrants, paid Congress Dems and RINO’s. You will have to do a great deal more to convince me and other American’s seeing what good is being accomplished. I do not claim to understand it all, but trashing Trump with your claims may not be accurate at all.

GEG REPLY:
Hello Duane.
The headline of the article about Trump’s financial commitments to the Rothschilds did not accurately reflect the essence of our own understanding of the story – as reflected in the summary we published at the beginning of the story itself. While Jake Morphonios, the commentator, took the view that Trump was so deeply compromised by Rothschild’s bailout of his real estate empire that he now must be submissive to his behind-the scenes controllers, please recall that we did not endorse that view. We felt that the parallel to the connection between the Rothschilds and J.P. Morgan during the Wall Street Panic of 1857 was historically significant, but that connection was a business relationship, not political – and, in fact, that could well be the connection today. We feel that it is important to know about these influences and that we must not back away from acknowledging that they exist, but that does not mean we think the President is merely a puppet of the Rothschilds. The puppet interpretation was added to the headline by a member of our staff without my knowledge and, as soon as I was made aware of it, I removed it. Thanks for your response.
