California residents are being asked not to charge their electric vehicles from 4 pm to 9 pm to conserve energy amid a brutal triple-digit heatwave and they were warned to brace for potential blackouts. The request came mere days after the state announced a plan to ban sales of new gas-powered cars by 2035. Congressman Steve Scalise pointed out that Democrats are trying to promote California’s foolish energy policy nationwide. Congressman Austin Scott said that Democrats’ green energy infrastructure can’t even support their expensive electric vehicles.

California residents are being asked not to charge their electric vehicles to conserve energy amid a brutal heatwave — just days after the state announced a plan to ban sales of new gas-powered cars by 2035.

The plea comes as the Golden State sizzles in triple-digit temperatures, but the irony of the appeal was not lost on critics of the ambitious plan, expected to set the pace for a national and international shift to electric vehicles.

California will never have more energy power in 2035 than it has now, and quite a bit less when fossil fuels and nuclear power are discontinued.
