Detroit, Michigan: On May 15, 2020, Jaden Hayden, who was 20 years old at the time and diagnosed with COVID-19, was placed in a nursing home, sharing a room with an elderly resident, Mr. Norman Bledsoe, 75, whom he allegedly beat. Hayden reportedly filmed himself beating Mr. Bledsoe and posted it on social media. Hayden had a history of violence. Bledsoe suffered four broken fingers, broken ribs, and a broken jaw in the attack. Mr. Bledsoe was depressed and was not eating properly following the attack, and died two months later. Bledsoe’s death was not classified as a homicide. Hayden faced two counts of assault with intent to do great bodily harm, theft, and two counts of credit card theft in connection with the alleged beating. All charges were reportedly dropped because Hayden is mentally incompetent to stand trial. Hayden is now confined in a Kalamazoo psychiatric hospital.
The individual filmed in a viral violent 2020 assault on an Army veteran in Detroit has been reportedly cleared of all charges related to the incident.
WXYZ Detroit reported on Monday that 22-year-old Jadon Hayden’s charges were dropped after a judge found him “incompetent.”
As seen in the footage below, Hayden savagely attacked an old man named Norman Bledsoe and told him to “get the fuck off” his bed.
