Governor Newsom’s office announced that “Starting on May 1, Medi-Cal, California’s health coverage program for low-income individuals and families, is extending eligibility for full coverage to more than 185,000 individuals who are 50 years of age or older, regardless of immigration status.” In addition, Newsom’s 2022-2023 budget proposes a major expansion to Medi-Cal, providing coverage to over 700,000 adults, age 26 to 49 who are illegal immigrants. Newsom is bankrupting California.

California expanded Medi-Cal to all eligible adults over the age of 50 – including illegal aliens.

“Starting on May 1, Medi-Cal, California’s health coverage program for low-income individuals and families, is extending eligibility for full coverage to more than 185,000 individuals who are 50 years of age or older, regardless of immigration status.” Governor Newsom’s office announced.

“We’re delivering concrete results for Californians, continuing to fulfill the promise of a Healthy California for All, and I encourage all those eligible to take advantage of these essential health services,” said Governor Newsom. “This is an investment in our people, our economy, and our future. But we’re not stopping there. California is on the path to expand Medi-Cal to all eligible Californians regardless of age or immigration status, providing the most comprehensive health coverage in the entire country.”

This is just the beginning.

In 2019, California extended health coverage to illegals 26 and under.

In 2021, California began covering illegals over the age of 55.

Newsom’s 2022-2023 budget proposes a major expansion to Medi-Cal which will expand coverage “to an estimated 700,000-plus adults ages 26 through 49 without satisfactory immigration status.”

Moving out of CA will not solve anyone’s problems. Illegal immigrants are now in every state. While the few staes that are sending illegals to DC or Delaware are forcing those two locales to send them on to other locations, it won’t solve the problems that those former CA residents hope to escape. Immigration used to require all new immigrants to prove they could support themselves or require them to obtain a sponsor who would agree to support them if need be, in order to settle here. All the Republicans need to do if they take back both chambers of… Read more »

It’s now safe to say that the U.S. federal govt along with the state of CA govt (and multiple other govts) have been marked for destruction. They cannot “print” their way out of this financial mess anymore especially with the demise of the world reserve currency status of the dollar. Putting these monstrosities out of their misery is good in a way, but we must establish new systems that respect freedom and avoid repeating the disaster of massive centralized govt control and violence against the citizenry.
