Migrants from the Central American caravan have illegally entered the US by climbing over the dilapidated scrap metal border fence in Tijuana. Ironically, some sat atop the fence taunting US officials while waving flags from Honduras, the country they are fleeing. Five busloads of migrants were escorted Sunday through Tijuana to a cross-border rally near San Diego, where supporters gathered on both sides of the fence.
The White House Correspondents’ Dinner featured comedienne, Michelle Wolf, who gave a 20-minute monologue in extreme bad taste to belittle the Trump administration. For many, the most appalling, not-funny jokes were about abortion, in what appears to have been an apparent attempt to normalize it. Trump did not attend.
New York City: Leftists love diversity, and 89% of them voted for Hillary Clinton, yet they became outraged when the local school announced plans to bus lower income minority students into their neighborhood. The parents railed against the proposal for each of the 17 local middle schools to reserve 25% of the class seats for students scoring below grade level on state English and math exams. The parents of high-performing students made the case that their children will be shut out of prestigious schools. [Where’s Antifa and Black Lives Matter?]
A House intelligence committee report revealed that researchers were paid $50-million by donors from California and New York to create the discredited Steele dossier in order to oust President Trump. The Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee funded the dossier. George Soros was also linked as a donor in the scheme. The dossier was used improperly by the FBI in seeking a federal court order for surveillance of Americans during the campaign.
The US dollar is being challenged by China’s oil-futures trading market that opened last month. If the Saudis sell more of their oil to China, the yuan-denominated oil contracts and the launch of the gold-backed petro yuan could be a serious blow against the US petro dollar as the world’s reserve currency. China’s ace in the hole is its announced intention to make the yuan fully convertible to gold which, if actually done, would make it more attractive globally than the US dollar.
Hungary: Prime Minister Viktor Orban, with the help of Israel, used a classic sting operation to entice Soros-sponsored NGOs into disclosing damaging inside information. Orban is on a mission to rid his country of the meddling billionaire. Be aware that that the source of this information, the Guardian, is hostile to Orban and friendly to Soros. The facts, however, remain.
Bill Cosby, 80, was found guilty of three counts of aggravated indecent assault for drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand at his home in Philadelphia in 2004. He faces up to 10 years in prison on each charge. Paul Romano makes the case that Bill Cosby got burned because he crossed those in power, while other political and show biz elites, and even the royal family, are protected from going to jail for their sexual crimes.
The criteria for Youtube censorship includes “controversial religious or supremacist content”, and “controversial and inflammatory content”, which is totally subjective. Youtube makes the call, and they are biased and political. The Southern Poverty Law Center, an extremist group known for inciting hatred and division, acts as a trusted flagger of video content. Republicans defend Google against anti-trust issues because Google funds campaigns, the media and NGOs.
UK: Merseyside Police threatened people posting messages on social media who oppose the decision by the Alder Hey Children’s Hospital to remove the life support system from Alfie Evans, a 23-month old baby, which amounts to a death sentence, which is a consequence of socialized medicine and governmental control over health. Alfie Evans fell into a coma a year ago from a mystery illness. The doctors said it is in the baby’s best interest to stop the mechanical ventilation, and his parents lost their court battle to take the child to Italy for treatment. They have been denied the right to take him home.
France is prosecuting hate speech laws to stifle opposition to mass immigration by the right, including three politicians from the Front National party who characterized a migrant accused of attacking a hospital worker as “one of our new inhabitants, invited by our governments, housed, fed, helped, cared for, all for free, with a little bit of pocket money.” Meanwhile, Marine Le Pen faces a penalty of up to 75,000 euros and potential prison time for posting an image of ISIS brutality on social media in 2015.
South Carolina: Free-speech advocates are concerned over a proposal to ban criticism of the policies of the Israeli government, under the pretense of opposing anti-Semitism. The proposed “proviso”, prohibits blaming Israel for political tensions. To justify this rule, the article mentions that there were bomb threats against Jewish community centers across the country last year, but it neglected to mention the fact that these threats were made by Michael Kadar, a 19-year old Jewish man, who was arrested in Israel for doing so.
