Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) argued that the Senate’s healthcare bill may provide more subsidies than Obamacare does. The new healthcare bill creates a brand new federal entitlement program to give insurance companies money when they already make $15 billion per year. Paul says that he wants a true repeal of Obamacare and to allow competition and the market to lower prices. Keeping Medicare expansion, but repealing the tax makes no economic sense. Paul says that he agrees with the original Republican position that government should not be involved in healthcare.
