A poll from Hill-HarrisX revealed that Americans from all parties are against going to war with Iran: 58% of voters polled preferred a non-military response to Iran’s shooting down of a US spy drone, 49% said they wanted a negotiated end to the recent hostilities while 9% said that Trump should make no action. A large number of participants, 19%, said they were unsure of what response they wanted by the government. Older participants, aged 65 and older, in the poll were the age group most averse to going to war with Iran.

The majority of voters, 58 percent, preferred a non-military response to Iran’s shooting down of a U.S. spy drone. Forty-nine percent of voters said they wanted a negotiated end to the recent hostilities while 9 percent said that Trump should make no action.
