Leftists are upset over Congress’ newly proposed law, the Unmasking Antifa Act of 2018, that makes it a federal crime for wearing a mask or disguise while injuring, oppressing, threatening or intimidating any person in the US that blocks them from any of their Constitutional rights, which is punishable by up to 15 years in prison and/ or a fine. The law is a response to Antifa committing violence,  preventing conservatives from speaking in public and destroying property. Most of Antifa’s activities and wearing a mask during the commission of a crime are already illegal, but the police are not enforcing the existing laws, often due to ‘stand down’ orders. The new law states, “…no law enforcement officer shall be considered to be in violation of this section for lawfully carrying out the duties of his office.” Opponents worry that it could lead to a crackdown on political activity and that a 15 year jail sentence is extreme.

This new proposed act of Congress called the Antifa Act is really impressive. Does it also cover the KKK members, and other members of members of groups that parade in disguises, masks, or heavy makeup such as Clowns, Jesters, and others?
