University of Tampa Assistant Professor of Sociology, Kenneth Storey, tweeted to Texans as Hurricane Harvey ravaged the state: “I don’t believe in instant karma, but this kinda feels like it for Texas. Hopefully, this will help them realize the GOP doesn’t care about them.”  The University denounced his statement. [The University had every right to denounce the statement, not because he made it, but because it was in bad taste. The Professor has every right to speak his mind, even if it is in bad taste, so long as it does not endanger someone’s life, liberty, or property. That’s what freedom-of-speech is all about. –GEG
