The attack was in retaliation to air raids on Yemen by the Saudis, backed by the West. The United Nations says 10,000 people have died in the three-year-old war, and three quarters of Yemen’s population, 22 million civilians, are starving and need relief aid. [The timing is inconvenient as the US is threatening to strike Syria, an ally of Iran, Israel has threatened Iran, the Saudis support Israel against Iran, and the Saudis agree with France in ‘curbing’ Iran.]
President Trump is considering a deal with Saudi Arabia allowing Westinghouse Electric, a financially strapped nuclear energy company, to build 16 nuke plants over the next 20 years, at a cost of more than $80 billion. The deal would also permit Saudi Arabia to enrich and reprocess uranium, which can be used for nuclear weapons. Congress must approve any agreement that is forged, and lawmakers will have three months to weigh in on the deal. [What in the world is Trump thinking?]
President Trump, from the beginning of his campaign, has been opposed to Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran and views that country as an enemy. This is despite the fact that UN and EU inspectors report they have no nuclear weapons. Trump, Israel, and Saudi Arabia support the current protests and are calling for regime change. The protests were coordinated across multiple cities throughout the country supposedly over an increase in the price of eggs, but soon turned into demands to overthrow the government.
Saudi Princess Aidan, confided to French newspaper, LeMonde, that the ruling House of Saud secretly engages in sexual slavery, in addition to buying or renting children for sex from impoverished areas in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Djibouti, Somalia, Nigeria, Romania, and Bulgaria. Princess Aidan is the ex-wife of the Saudi Prince, Al Waleed bin Talal, who recently was arrested in the anti-corruption purges in the country. She said those who accuse others of corruption and money laundering are in fact highly corrupted themselves.
James Corbett reveals a larger picture behind the Saudi Purge, and the shifting balance of global political and economic power. The details are fascinating and profound- fascinating because of the hidden forces that are exposed- and profound because they allow us to see into the near future in which the US Petro-Dollar may be replaced by the Chinese “Petro-Yuan” – and this could lead to a real world war for global dominance.
