Border crossers are clogging the asylum system, flooding homeless shelters and are being moved out of college dormitories to make way for students. But Trudeau has a new solution: Move hundreds of immigrants into hotels where they will live at public expense. Canada could halt the illegal crossing with the stroke of a pen- but it won’t because it doesn’t serve the people, but has a different master.
Last year, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invited all self-professed “refugees” to his country via Twitter, effectively opening the borders without any vote or debate. Activist Faith Goldy visited the primary point of entry on the southern border of Quebec and upstate New York, and was spat upon and attacked by Antifa and other pro-immigration extremists. Police in riot gear stood down and just watched. She is afraid that the migrant crisis is overwhelming her country and dividing people to the point that it could lead to civil war.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau responded to Trump’s first travel ban in January 2017 by tweeting, “To those fleeing persecution, terror & war, Canadians will welcome you, regardless of your faith. Diversity is our strength #WelcomeToCanada.” Since that time, in the intervening 15 months, 26,000 people have migrated to Canada, yet he blames the US. Now he is trying to renegotiate the ‘Safe Third Country Agreement’ that requires asylum seekers to to apply for asylum in the first country that they entered.
To the skeptical mind, this sounds like a flimsy ploy to use taxpayer funds to pay for the support of terrorism in Canada. Why would anyone want to do that? Because some people in high places actually want terrorism so there will be a plausible excuse to enact laws against liberty and to declare martial law. Martial law is the ultimate excuse for totalitarianism.
