President Trump’s Executive Order Will Allow Churches and Religious Groups to Take Part in Politics Without Risking Their Tax Exempt Status

President Trump signed an executive order that could disable a provision of the federal tax code that prohibits religious organizations from directly opposing or supporting political candidates.  The order directs the IRS simply not to enforce that provision. While religious bodies may rejoice over this move, it should be remembered that the Constitution does not empower the President to selectively enforce only laws which he approves. If Americans accept this principle, then they are accepting the substance of dictatorship. Who will hold this power after Trump? –GEG

So correct me if I’m wrong, but it sounds like he just announced that the separation of church and state is over, because laws that used to be in place for tax exempt churches and now gone?? and politicians/gov now have full immunity to work through religious organizations to further manipulate public perception? Don’t you just love it G. when they wrap this stuff in pretty little speeches designed to prey on emotions of Christians? for the greater good of group right. When will we all wake up?!?!
