Google gave in to employee demands after dozens of them quit and close to 4,000 signed a petition demanding that the tech giant cancel its contract with the Pentagon to build artificial intelligence (AI) technology for weapons and that it implement “a clear policy stating that neither Google nor its contractors will ever build warfare technology.”
American taxpayers have been robbed of at least $21-trillion by the DOD and HUD, based on a study of the agencies from 1998 to 2015 made by a professor of economics at Michigan State University. Meanwhile, the government has failed to fund $5-trillion in pension obligations despite many opportunities to do so, concluding it is intentional and that it will cause a “crisis” that will increase taxes, including property tax.
After decades of waste, overpayments, trillions of missing dollars and, most recently, losing track of 44,000 soldiers, the Pentagon is about to undergo its first audit in history. In 2015 alone, a staggering $6.5 trillion was unaccounted for, with $2.8 trillion in ‘wrongful adjustments’ occurring in just one quarter. Corruption goes back to the 1980s when the Pentagon was buying $37 screws, $7,622 coffee makers, and $640 toilet seats.
Under Obama, the Pentagon attempted to block an independent report on child sex abuse and rape of young boys among Afghan soldiers and police. Despite 93 congressmen requesting this document in 2015, it is still classified by the Pentagon. “Bacha bazi”, which is an Afghan custom of dressing young boys like women and making them dance and perform sex acts, is growing, and local officials do nothing about it.
