California to Ban Sale of Natural Gas Water Heaters and Furnaces by 2030
California plans to ban the sale of new natural gas space heaters and water heating equipment by 2030. The California Air Resources Board (CARB), an unelected bureaucracy, voted unanimously and hopes other states will follow its model. Heat pump technology works entirely off of electricity and does have limitations.
Biden’s Moratorium on Oil and Gas Drilling May Have Been Dealt a Fatal Blow by the Court
After Biden took office in January 2021, he issued an executive order that put a moratorium on new oil and natural gas leases and drilling permits on federal lands. Judge Terry Doughty issued a permanent injunction blocking the leasing moratorium because President Biden “lacked any authority” to implement the policy.
