Antifa-BLM Shot at a Police Officer at His Home During a Protest

Wauwatosa, Wisconsin: On Saturday, Officer Joseph Mensah, a black policeman, reported that he was being physically assaulted outside his home . A shotgun was fired into his home after a group of 50 to 60 people gathered there to protest against the officer because he had fatally shot three people over five years in service. The mob also vandalized his home. He said it was ironic that the gang chanted “Black Lives Matter, but had no regard for him, his girlfriend, or the three children inside the house. -GEG

Wauwatosa police say Officer Joseph Mensah was physically assaulted outside his home Saturday night and a single shotgun round was fired into the home after a group of 50 to 60 people gathered there to protest the officer who has fatally shot three people over five years.

Mensah’s record has caught national attention and spurred multiple protests locally. He was suspended with pay in July by the Wauwatosa Police and Fire Commission, and the families of his three victims say they plan to pursue legal action.

On Saturday, protesters began to vandalize Mensah’s home around 8:05 p.m., according to a news release from Wauwatosa police. Mensah “attempted to establish a dialog but was ultimately physically assaulted,” the release said.

As Mensah went inside, “armed protesters approached the rear door and a single shotgun round was discharged by a member of the group into Officer Mensah’s backdoor,” the release continues.

Several other police departments were called to help disperse the crowd.

In a Facebook post, Mensah said he was home with his girlfriend and that the shotgun shell missed hitting him by inches.

“I am all for peaceful protests, even against me, but this was anything but peaceful,” Mensah wrote.

“The irony in all of this is that they chanted Black Lives Matter the entire time, but had zero regard for any of the black children that live there or me, a black man,” his post continued.

Detroit Police Chief Explains How He Has Prevented Riots

Riots and destruction continue in many Democrat-controlled cities because they are allowed to continue. In Detroit, however, not one business has been destroyed or looted. Detroit Police Chief James Craig says his city kept the peace because they decided at the beginning that “We weren’t giving up ground to the radicals.” He credited the residents of the city, who he said stood with the police. Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan has supported the city’s police department. -GEG

On Tuesday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Detroit Police Chief James Craig discussed how his city kept the peace during recent protests and rioting across the country. Craig said that he made a tactical decision that “We weren’t giving up ground to the radicals.” And credited the residents of the city, who he said have had enough with “misguided radicals that have tried to incite violence in our city.”

Craig said, “One thing I learned from my time in Los Angeles, we don’t retreat here in Detroit. We’re just not going to do it. You saw the images, Tucker, of streets where there was lawlessness, looting, burning, no sight of police officers. We weren’t giving up ground to the radicals. We just didn’t do it.”

He added, “Detroiters are fed up with these radical [protesters.] I’m not talking about the peaceful protesters. I’m talking about…these misguided radicals that have tried to incite violence in our city. They said, we’re not going to put up with it. And so, we’ve got a couple of things. We’ve got a great police department, great leadership, but we have a community that stands with us and by us, and said, enough is enough.”

Officer Fired, Police Chief Steps Down, Wendy’s Set Ablaze After Atlanta Shooting

Atlanta, Georgia: Police were called to a Wendy’s fast food restaurant because Rayshard Brooks, a 27-year old black man, had fallen asleep at the wheel in the drive-thru, and resisted police officers in a struggle that led to him grabbing a Taser from one of the cops, running away, and turning the weapon on police. Then he was shot and died on the way to the hospital. Protesters decried the killing of the man, who they characterized as “unarmed”, closed down a highway, and burned down the Wendy’s. The fire department did not respond immediately due to unsafe condition. Police chief Erika Shields resigned following weeks of protest. Rioters at Wendy’s attacked a CNN film crew. The police officer involved in the incident was fired, and the local district attorney plans to file charges against him. -GEG

Alabama: Police Shot and Killed a Legally Armed Black Man at a Mall on Thanksgiving Night

Hoover, Alabama: An armed black male, Emantic Bradford Jr., 21, was shot by police at a mall as officers responded to reports of gunshots on Thanksgiving night, but they appear to have shot an innocent man.  Bradford was reported to be legally carrying a handgun and directing shoppers to safety.  Initially, law enforcement authorities publicly identified him as the gunman and then changed their story the next day.  Benjamin Crump, a lawyer for the family of Bradford said a forensic examination that was commissioned by the family showed that Mr. Bradford was shot in the back of his head and body while running away and posed no threat to the police.  A judge ordered the police officer’s body-cam video and mall surveillance video to b released, but it is being withheld from the public pending a criminal investigation by law enforcement.

Erron Martez DeQuan Brown, has been charged in the initial shooting of an 18-year old man and a 12-year old girl that drew the police to the mall, but claims that he did not instigate the violence.

A black man killed by the police in an Alabama mall in November was shot three times from behind, according to a forensic examination commissioned by the man’s family.

The finding, announced in a news conference on Monday, was seen by the man’s family and lawyers as evidence he was running away and posed no threat to the officer who shot him.

Emantic Fitzgerald Bradford Jr., 21, was fatally shot in the middle of a panicked crowd at the Riverchase Galleria in Hoover, Ala., on Nov. 22, as officers responded to reports of gunshots on Thanksgiving night. Witnesses said Mr. Bradford, who was legally carrying a handgun, was directing shoppers to safety.

Chicago Police Killed a Man Who Reached for His Gun, Violent Protests Still Threaten the City

There were violent protests over the weekend in Chicago after police shot and killed a black man, Harith Augustus, 37, a barber who goes by the name ‘Snoop’, after he fled when they accused him of selling loose cigarettes.  Chicago Police Department released a single-angle, muted without sound, police bodycam video that shows Augustus reaching for his firearm.  Protesters are threatening to take to the streets again because they want the remaining police bodycam videos for context.

The city could see a fourth day of protests Tuesday over the Chicago police shooting that killed 37-year-old Harith Augustus over the weekend.

Officers were trying to detain the barber Saturday in the city’s South Shore neighborhood when the shooting happened.

Police quickly released body camera video, without audio. It appears to show Augustus had a gun and that he was reaching for it when he was shot.

Body cam video of moments prior to the fatal police shooting of Harith Augustus. This is 1 of 2 videos released on Sunday. CPD added slow-motion effect.

But there is more video, which the police department will not release at this time.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel may weigh in on the police shooting Tuesday. He has returned to Chicago from China and has a few public events planned for the morning.

Community members protested for three nights after the deadly police shooting.

Hundreds demonstrated in South Shore Monday night. They want more body-camera video released with audio. But city officials said there are no immediate plans to do that.

On Saturday night, police tried to detain Augustus outside a store near West 71st Street and South Jeffery Avenue for carrying a gun.

Less than 24 hours later, CPD released a portion of one body-camera angle.

Pittsburgh: Summer Protests Planned over Police Shooting Death

Pittsburgh: Protests continue following last week’s shooting death by a police officer of Antwon Rose, 17, who was unarmed and fled the scene. Antwon was a passenger in a car that was stopped because it fit the description of a vehicle involved in a drive-by shooting and there were bullet holes in the window. Two semi-automatic weapons were found inside the car and Antwon had an empty 9mm clip in his pocket. The police officer has been placed on administrative leave. Protesters are calling for the District Attorney’s ouster as he has not filed charges against the police officer.

Protesters angry over the death of an unarmed teen who was shot by police this week marched Friday for the third straight night down the streets of downtown Pittsburgh.

Four people were arrested as hundreds of demonstrators blocked streets, Allegheny County Police Superintendent Coleman McDonough said.
Police are looking for a black sedan that drove through the crowd late Friday, said Chris Togneri, the city spokesman. No injuries were reported, he said.
Protesters were near PNC Park, where fans were leaving a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game, when the car drove through, CNN affiliate KDKA reported.

‘How do you justify that?’

Antwon Rose, 17, was shot by an officer three times on Tuesday as he attempted to flee a car stopped by police. Rose was one of two passengers in the car, which matched the description of a vehicle that had been involved in an earlier shooting, Allegheny County Police said.
East Pittsburgh Police Officer Michael Rosfeld fired on Rose from behind, hitting him in three spots, police said.
The manner of Rose’s death was listed as homicide, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office said.
“Three shots in the back, how you justify that?” protesters chanted Friday.
Demonstrators carrying a sign that read, “Fire killer cops,” led hundreds of supporters to the Homestead Grays Bridge, halting traffic for a few hours.
Those arrested face charges for failure to disperse and, at least one, for resisting arrest, McDonough told KDKA.

‘He wasn’t that boy’

Tia Taylor, who went to high school with Rose, addressed the crowd, offering a heartfelt testimony of him.
“He wasn’t the person to be out here doing anything he didn’t have no business doing. He wasn’t that boy,” Taylor, a student at Woodland Hills High School, said through tears.

Protests in Pittsburgh Over Black 17-Year Old Shot Dead by Officer

Protests erupted outside of the East Pittsburgh Police station over a17-year-old boy, Antwon Rose, who was shot and killed by a police officer as he ran from a traffic stop related to a separate shooting. The car matched the description of a vehicle being sought in a separate nonfatal shooting. The car had bullet holes in the rear windows. An East Pittsburgh officer was taking the driver into custody when the two passengers, including 17-year-old Antwon Rose, ran off. Two weapons were recovered from the car.

The police officer, who is in his 20’s was reportedly sworn in just hours before the shooting.

Fox News reported:

Protests erupted outside of the East Pittsburgh Police station over a 17-year-old boy shot and killed by a police officer late Tuesday as he ran from a traffic stop related to a separate shooting.

The gathering for Antwon Rose, which spread across social media with photos and video, saw demonstrators praying, chanting, marching and calling for an end to violence and police brutality, KDKA reported.

“From all accounts, he was a generous, hard-working and highly promising student. Affirmations of his generosity of spirit and genuine good heartedness have begun pouring in from all corners of the East Pittsburgh community where he lives,” his family’s attorney, D. Lee Merritt, said in a statement.

The Allegheny County medical examiner’s office said Rose, who worked for the wife of a candidate for lieutenant governor, died at the hospital. The brief report released Wednesday did not list a cause of death or say how many times or where the teenager was shot.

Investigators said Wednesday that the car stopped in East Pittsburgh matched the description of a vehicle being sought in a nonfatal shooting in a town a few miles away. An East Pittsburgh officer, who has not been identified, was taking the driver into custody when the two passengers, including 17-year-old Antwon Rose, ran off.

Investigators have said Rose was shot three times. They also said nobody fired a weapon at the officer during the stop and the teen did not have a weapon on him.

CBS Pittsburgh reported police found two weapons inside of the vehicle, but none on Antwon Rose’s person.

According to police, officers initially responded to a shots fired called on Kirkpatrick Avenue in North Braddock. When they arrived, they found a 22-year-old man had been shot in the abdomen.

The shooter fired nine .40-caliber founds at the victim from a vehicle. The victim returned fire and struck the vehicle with multiple rounds.

Callers reported that a car was spotted fleeing the scene.

Police spotted what they believed was the same car on Grandview Avenue in East Pittsburgh a short time later. The car had bullet holes in the rear windows.

Violence Erupts in St. Louis after White Cop Is Acquitted in a 2011 Shooting of a Black Man

St. Louis, Missouri: Hundreds of Black Lives Matter protesters shut down Kingshighway on Friday night after white police officer, Jason Stockley, was found ‘not guilty’ in the 2011 shooting death of Anthony Lamar Smith, a black man suspected of dealing drugs.  Black Lives Matter rioters threw bricks, bottles and rocks at police officers, injuring 11, and leaving a female officer with a broken jaw.  A crowd of 1,000 swarmed the home of Mayor Lyda Krewson, broke windows and threw red paint at the house before riot police moved in with tear gas.  The Fire Department was called in to put out a total of 18 fires.[We must not forget that this is not about racial injustice but about creating chaos to justify martial law and regime change, which is the specialty of BLM funder, George Soros. This time, the regime is the US government.] -GEG

Protests in St. Louis over the acquittal of a white police officer in the shooting death of a black man turned violent late Friday as demonstrators clashed with riot-gear-clad cops and surrounded the home of the city’s mayor.

Members of a crowd of about 1,000 broke at least two windows at the home of Mayor Lyda Krewson and threw red paint at the brick house before riot police moved in to disperse the crowd with tear gas, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.

There was no indication that Krewson was inside the home at the time, the newspaper reported.

Police in bulletproof vests and helmets closed in and demanded protesters get off the lawn and out of the street in front of the house. Officers used tear gas to move the crowd out of the area and the protests were all but dispersed within the next two hours.

More than 20 arrests were made by early evening, and some protesters were pepper-sprayed during confrontations with authorities. St. Louis police reported that 10 officers had suffered injuries by the end of the night, including a broken jaw and dislocated shoulder, and some journalists reported being the target of threats from demonstrators.

A freelance Associated Press videographer said a protester threw his camera to the ground and damaged it, and he was later threatened with a beating if he didn’t put another camera away. A KTVI reporter said water bottles were thrown at him after a protester taunted him, drawing a crowd.

Activists said they would meet again Saturday to plan further demonstrations.

Minnesota: Cop Who Shot Philando Castile Is Acquitted. 18 Arrested in Protests

St. Paul, Minnesota: At least 18 people were arrested during a protest following the acquittal of the police officer who fatally shot Philando Castile.  The protest drew an estimated 2,000 people, with 500 of them shutting down a major freeway.  The officer, Jeronimo Yanez, testified that Castile, who was high on Marijuana, failed to follow his commands and reached for his legal gun.  Two members of the jury that acquitted Yanez were black. –GEG

At least 18 people were arrested in Minnesota overnight during a protest that shut down a major highway, following the acquittal of the police officer who fatally shot Philando Castile.

Thousands of protesters gathered at the Minnesota State Capitol and marched through the streets of St. Paul on Friday night to decry the not guilty verdict returned by a jury in the manslaughter trial of former St. Anthony police officer Jeronimo Yanez. An estimated 2,000 people participated in the march, part of which shut down a major highway, according to the St. Paul Police Department.

Yanez, 29, shot Castile, 32, multiple times on July 6, 2016, seconds after the black motorist alerted the officer that he was carrying a gun, during the traffic stop. Castile had a permit for the weapon.

Yanez, who is Latino, was charged with second-degree manslaughter.

The mostly-white jury deliberated for some 29 hours over the course of five days this week before reaching the not guilty verdict. After the verdict was read Friday afternoon, the city of St. Anthony swiftly announced plans to dismiss Yanez, despite his acquittal. City officials said they would offer him a “voluntary separation” because they had determined “the public will be best served” if he is no longer an officer in St. Anthony.

Friday’s march remained largely peaceful. Seven people were arrested during the massive demonstration near the state Capitol and no injuries were reported, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

But as darkness fell, a smaller crowd splintered off from the march and walked down an entrance ramp to block Interstate 94. An estimated 500 protesters snarled traffic and forced police to shut down the freeway in both directions, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

Police ordered the protesters to disperse and the crowd eventually moved off I-94 mainlines and onto an entrance ramp. By early Saturday morning, at least 18 people had been arrested for failing to leave the freeway. They were booked at Ramsey County Jail, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
