Witness Against MS-13 Murdered After his Identity was Released To Defense Attorneys

New York: Wilmer Maldonado Rodriguez was scheduled to testify against MS-13 gang members but was beaten to death in his front yard. This happened in the wake of New York’s new criminal-justice laws that require prosecutors to turn over witnesses’ names to defense attorneys fifteen days ahead of trial. A judge can issue a protective order to shield witnesses’ identities all the way to the eve of the trial, and that is what happened in this case. However, when the trial date was postponed, no one thought to also extend the date of the protective order so, Rodriguez was exposed well in advance of the trial. Law enforcement has placed the blame for Rodriguez’s murder squarely at the feet of Democratic lawmakers who passed the new law. -GEG

Wilmer Maldonado Rodriguez was murdered after a judge released his identity under the state’s new criminal justice laws.
New Cassel, NY – A man who was scheduled to testify against MS-13 gang members was murdered outside his home because of New York’s new criminal justice reforms that now require prosecutors to turn over witnesses’ names 15 days ahead of trial.Although many people have been focused on the failure of the new bail reform laws the state put into effect that are releasing violent and repeat offenders back onto the streets without bail, the changes to New York’s discovery law have just as dire consequences, The New York Times reported.

New York had been one of 10 states that allowed prosecutors to withhold a witness’ identity from the defense until the eve of trial.

But under new laws, key witness and evidence must be shared within 15 days of a suspect’s arraignment.

There are exceptions to the rule – a judge can shield witnesses’ identities with a protective order – but in the case of 36-year-old Wilmer Maldonado Rodriguez, a judge ordered his identity to be revealed in December of 2019, according to The New York Times.

Rodriguez, in October of 2018, intervened when he saw two boys being threatened by members of MS-13.

The gang members then proceeded to beat the good Samaritan in the head with a bat and stab him repeatedly, The New York Times reported.

Officials said that despite having almost lost his life for a good deed, Rodriguez was willing to testify against his MS-13 attackers.

But then Nassau County Court Judge Helene F. Gugerty ordered that his identity be given to defense attorneys last month, effectively signing Rodriguez’s death warrant.

He was found beaten to death in his yard on Sunday, The New York Times reported.

Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas said that being forced to identify Rodriguez ahead of the trial may have cost him his life.

“This courageous man was prepared to testify against alleged assailants at an upcoming trial, but he was brutally beaten to death before he could,” Singas said a statement. “This case underscores the importance of safeguarding the identities of witnesses and victims of crime and our hearts are with Mr. Maldonado’s family and friends as we grieve his loss.”

Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder filled in some of the details of what happened after the judge ordered prosecutors to turn Rodriguez’s name over to the defense, The New York Times reported.

Commissioner Ryder said the trial was initially scheduled for Jan. 6 but had been delayed, and that a “pattern of intimidation” against Rodriguez had started then.

He told Newsday that Rodriguez was assaulted and another victim was shot at after their names were released to the defendants’ attorneys.

“That protective order, because of the new changes in the law, was lifted,” the commissioner said. “We don’t know if the defense counsel turned that info over to the defendants.”

Defense attorneys were quick to push back, according to Newsday.

New York: 96 Members of the Ultra-Violent MS-13 Gang Were Arrested Following a 2-Year Investigation

Long Island, New York: A two-year investigation led to the arrest of 96 members of the MS-13 gang, known for extreme violence and using machetes in killings and assaults. Charges include murder, murder conspiracy, drug trafficking, weapons possession and gang violence. Worldwide, 230 gang members were arrested and at least seven murder plots were interrupted. Police seized more than 10 kilograms of cocaine, more than 1,000 fentanyl pills, unspecified amounts of heroin and marijuana, nine handguns, two long guns, numerous machetes and more than $200,000 cash. The goal of the investigation was to deliver a major blow to the gang’s leadership, operations and recruitment in the region. The leadership of MS-13 in El Salvador is trying to develop a greater presence in Long Island.

MS-13, known as Mara Salvatrucha, originated decades ago among Salvadoran immigrants in Los Angeles and has since built a criminal network that extends across the US, with thriving pockets in the Washington, DC, suburbs and on Long Island. An official from the Drug Enforcement Administration said MS-13 had 8,000-10,000 members in the US and Europe and 50,000 members in Central America.

Authorities in New York have announced a wide-ranging investigation that resulted in criminal charges against 96 MS-13 gang members on Long Island.

The two-year investigation resulted in what Suffolk County District Attorney Timothy Sini called the biggest takedown of a street gang in New York state. The charges include murder, murder conspiracy, drug trafficking, weapons possession and gang violence.
“MS-13 is a ruthless, savage gang which commits acts of violence to recruit, retain and control its members and exact revenge on its rivals, as well as to extort innocent members of our community,” Sini said in a news release.
“They send portions of that money back to the leadership in their home base of El Salvador. Leaders in El Salvador run the gang by issuing orders to the local cliques here in Suffolk County.”
Worldwide, 230 gang members were arrested and at least seven murder plots were interrupted, Sini said.
Nine leaders of Suffolk County cliques, or factions of the gang, were arrested, Sini said. Seized were more than 10 kilograms of cocaine, more than 1,000 fentanyl pills, unspecified amounts of heroin and marijuana, nine handguns, two long guns, numerous machetes and more than $200,000 cash.

ICE Blames Seattle/ King County, a Sanctuary for Illegal Immigrants, for Releasing an MS-13 Gang Member Suspected in the Brutal Murder of a High School Boy

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) says that Carlos Orlando Iraheta-Vega, 20, and Rudy Osvaldo Garcia Hernandez, 28, illegal immigrants and MS-13 gang members from El Salvador, are suspected of killing a 16-year old high school student who was beaten to death with a baseball bat, chopped into pieces with a machete, and thrown into Green River last month. The illegals now are charged with first-degree murder. ICE officials say that this brutal murder could have been prevented if it were not for the fact that King County’s, a sanctuary zone, prevented them from detaining Iraheta-Vega nearly a year ago. Iraheta-Vega had been arrested for theft of a motor vehicle, but King County Jail ignored an ICE request for retainer, and Vega was released. He was arrested and released two more times before the high school boy’s murder. -GEG

An illegal alien who had a detainer placed on him by ICE but was released from jails in Washington state has been charged with murdering and mutilating a high schooler — and ICE is pinning the blame squarely on the sanctuary laws that meant one of the alleged murderers was in the United States at all.

According to the Seattle Times, Carlos Orlando Iraheta-Vega, 20, is one of two men who has been charged with the murder of 16-year-old high school student Juan Carlos Con Guzman.

Authorities say Con Guzman, who attended Mount Rainier High School in Des Moines, Washington, was lured from his home Sept. for a fight by Iraheta-Vega and 28-year-old Rudy Osvaldo Garcia-Hernandez. The two then drove him by the Green River in Auburn “with a plan to torture and kill him,” according to court documents.

Con Guzman was allegedly beaten to death with a baseball bat and then cut into small pieces with a machete that were deposited into the river near the town of Auburn.

The extraordinary brutality of this crime demonstrates the threat the defendants pose to the community,” King County, Washington, prosecutor Mary Barbosa wrote in the charging documents, the Seattle Times reported Friday.

Even before the grisly crime, however, ICE said it already knew that Iraheta-Vega was a serious threat. That’s why they put a detainer on him after prior arrests and wanted to deport him from the United States back to where he came from.

According to KIRO-TV, Iraheta-Vega, who immigrated to the United States illegally from El Salvador as an “unaccompanied minor,” had been in and out of King County jails since 2018.

ICE said it lodged a detainer following Iraheta-Vega’s first arrest by Kent police in 2018 but was not notified of his release from jail several days later,” KIRO reported.

Iraheta-Vega was later arrested twice for DUI, according to ICE, and released from jail before they could encounter him.”

ICE also said confirmed both men were members of the notorious MS-13 gang, according to KOMO-TV.

California: 22 Members of the MS-13 Gang Indicted for Crimes that Include Gruesome Murders with Machetes. 19 Are Illegal Aliens

Los Angeles: The US Attorney’s Office charged 22 men linked to the MS-13 gang for crimes that include the brutal slayings of seven people in California, which includes the act of cutting the heart out of one of the victims. They are suspected in 200 more crimes in several states over the past nine years. Of the 22 defendants, 19 had entered the country illegally in the past three or four years. Federal prosecutors say the suspects operated in the San Fernando Valley, an area that recently absorbed an influx of immigrants from Central America. [Notice the classic Satanic hand signs in the photos which the media describes blandly as mere gang signs.] -GEG

Nearly all of the members and associates of an MS-13 gang charged in the “medieval-style” slayings of seven people in California were in the country illegally, officials said.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles
charged 22 people linked to a subset of the vicious gang that’s known
as the Fulton clique, members of which are suspected in nearly 200 crimes in several states over 9 years, according to a federal indictment released Tuesday.

“We
have now taken off the streets nearly two dozen people associated with
the most violent arm of MS-13 in Los Angeles,” U.S. Attorney Nick Hanna
said.

Of the 22 defendants, 19 had entered the country illegally in the past three or four years, according to Thom Mrozek, a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s office in Los Angeles.

PROSECUTORS ACCUSE MS-13 OF 7 ‘MEDIEVAL-STYLE’ SLAYINGS, INCLUDING CUTTING HEART OUT OF RIVAL

Federal prosecutors allege the suspects operated in the San Fernando Valley, an area that recently absorbed an influx of young immigrants from Central America.

  • MS-13 has as many as 10,000 members in the United States and is active in at least 30 states. Since FY 2017, 900+ MS-13 members have been apprehended at the southwest border.

Maryland: MS-13 Gang Members Who Murdered a 14-Year Old Girl Were Protected By Sanctuary Policies

Maryland: A 14-year old girl, Ariana Funes-Diaz, who participated in the kidnapping and robbery of man in April, was herself murdered with a machete by her cohorts who feared she would snitch on them, according to police. Three teen suspects were arrested for murder in this case and will be tried as adults. St. George’s County had two of them, believed to be MS-13 gang members, in custody for attempted murder in a separate case last year but, because St. George’s County is a sanctuary county, authorities released the suspects back into the public. -GEG

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is searching for two illegal immigrants who are also murder suspects.

ICE sent out a release on Tuesday stating
they are looking for Josue Rafael Fuentes-Ponce and Joel Ernesto
Escobar. The pair was reportedly released by local authorities in
Prince George County in Maryland.

“Following the recent arrest of two
unlawfully present teens suspected in the violent murder of a young girl
in Maryland, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement
and Removal Operations (ERO) officers in Baltimore are again seeking to
take custody of the illegal aliens through the ICE detainer process
following the Prince George’s County Detention Center’s (PGCDC) failure
to cooperate,” ICE wrote in a release.

The two suspects were arrested on May
18, 2018 for attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree
murder, participating in gang activity, conspiracy to commit murder,
attempted robbery, and other related charges. ICE is reporting federal
officers lodged a detainer with the Prince George’s County Detention
Center. They were arrested again on May 16 for first-degree murder.
However, both were released on an unknown date and time without
notification to ICE, according to ICE. The Prince George County Police
Department arrested the teens and believe both Fuentes-Ponce and
Escobar are members of a gang.

“As law enforcement officers, we must
continue to serve and protect the American public and act in the
interest of public safety first,” said Baltimore Field Office Director
Diane Witte. “These individuals had demonstrated violent criminal
behavior before, and because they were released in spite of the lawful
detainer, they were afforded an opportunity to take a life.”

MS-13 Thug Who Murdered Man on NY Train Was Arrested by ICE in December and Set Free by Liberal Policies

Ramiro Gutierrez, 26, believed to be a member of the notorious MS-13 gang, was arrested on suspicion of shooting and killing Abel Mosso, a member of a rival gang, on a Queens subway platform Sunday. A witness said that Mosso pulled a gun, and Gutierrez wrestled it away from him.

Gutierrez and eleven others were charged in December by the Queens district attorney with conspiracy and attempted murder, as well as drug and weapons charges, but he was released from prison on $2,500 to await trial. ICE reported that Guitierrez is in the US illegally. -GEG

A MS-13 murder was captured on the 7 train in New York City.

The horrific footage was captured by Progressive Action.

You can see the MS-13 activists wrestling outside the 7 train and then you hear bullets flying.

The 7 train goes through Ocasio-Cortez’s 14th district.

The MS-13 gang member was arrested Monday in connection with the shooting on the 7 line.

Ramiro Gutierrez is believed to be one of a group of MS-13 members who were arrested by ICE on various charges in December of last year.

Ali Winston of The New York Times reported:

The
victim, Abel Mosso, 20, had been identified by investigators as a
member of the 18th Street gang, he said. The gunman is a known MS-13
gang member, Chief Shea said.

Though Chief Shea did not name him, the man taken into custody was
Ramiro Gutierrez, a law enforcement official said, speaking on the
condition of anonymity to discuss an open case. Mr. Gutierrez and 11
others were charged in December by the Queens district attorney with
conspiracy and attempted murder, as well as drug and weapons charges. He
was freed on $2,500 bail awaiting trial.

Liberal policies like those supported by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez put this criminal on the street again.

Meanwhile, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez invited Soros-funded, illegal alien activist Ana Maria Archila to the State of the Union Address by President Trump on Tuesday.

Obama’s Former Border Patrol Chief Says MS-13 Gang Laughs at How Easy It Is to Cross the US Border

New York: Three MS-13 gang members, who are illegal aliens, beat up two high school students – stabbing one of them in the back.  The illegals entered the US in 2016 as unaccompanied alien children, meaning they crossed the border without parents and were quickly released into American neighborhoods to await deportation that never happened.  The Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act and a Clinton-era court settlement, called the Flores agreement, requires that children traveling without parents must be quickly released to social workers who administer benefits.  Mark Morgan, Obama’s former Border Patrol chief, says that MS-13 gang members “laugh” at how easy it is to cross the southern border. Morgan recently was fired by President Trump. [The reason coming into the US illegally is easy is that it is intended to be, not because MS-13 is clever. Globalist moles in the US government have done their work well.] -GEG

If the Trump administration had its way, Ramon Arevalo Lopez and Oscar Canales Molina would have been either in detention or deported.

Instead, they were out on the streets — thanks to judges’ orders — where, according to police, they and another illegal immigrant delivered an MS-13 gang beat-down to two high school students in New York.

All three of the illegal immigrants entered the U.S. in 2016 as unaccompanied alien children, meaning they crossed the border without parents — a status that earned them a quick release into the country, where they were quickly reunited with their family and began to live while awaiting deportations that never came.

For Homeland Security Department officials, it’s the latest sign of a legal system that stymies their efforts to oust dangerous figures.

“One of the loopholes we are imploring Congress to close could have prevented this gruesome attack,” said Katie Waldman, a Homeland Security spokeswoman.

The three illegal immigrants got into a melee outside a Burger King in Huntington Station, New York, one afternoon last week. One of the teens was stabbed in the back, according to local news reports.

Authorities didn’t have a specific motive for the attack but said the victims were inside eating, saw the boys they knew from high school giving them menacing looks, and decided to leave.

The three illegal immigrants were found later with bloodstained hands and clothes, and their names popped up as MS-13 members in a check of a gang-records database.

Why they were in the country and out on the streets that day is one of the more bizarre twists of U.S. legal policy on illegal immigrants.

100 ISIS Terrorists and 1000 Gangbangers Caught in Guatemala as Migrant Caravan of Military-Age Males Marches to US

Guatemala’s President Jimmy Morales announced this week the Central American country apprehended almost 100 ISIS terrorists in addition to capturing more than 1,000 gangbangers, including members of the vicious MS-13 gang, just as the caravan of migrants is pushing its way to the US border.  The caravan is full of military-aged males, despite the media constantly showing pictures and video clips of female migrants with crying babies.

A migrant caravan full of thousands of mostly Hondurans tore down the border gate in Guatemala and stormed the Mexico border Friday.

The horde of migrants are mainly military-aged virile males; this is an invasion.

It gets worse…

The Guatemalan president announced this week the Central American country apprehended almost 100 ISIS terrorists.

The Secretary of Social Communication of the Presidency, Alfredo Brito, indicated that the data on these captures are “protected information of National Security”.

Judicial Watch sounded the alarm this week and reminded the public that several of the terrorists were Syrians caught with fake documents, according to Guatemala’s head of intelligence. At the same event, President Morales also revealed that Guatemalan authorities captured more than 1,000 gangbangers, including members of the MS-13.

The media constantly shows pictures and video clips of female migrants with crying babies, but the caravan is full of military-aged males; certainly ISIS terrorists and other dangerous criminals are embedded in the horde.

MS-13 Gang Members and Criminals Embedded in Illegal-Alien Family Units Are Pouring over the Texas Border

Texas: The Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol Sector is reporting a record number of illegal family migrations from Central American countries as a result of the reversal of President Trump’s promise to curtail illegal immigration and human trafficking. An alarming number of MS-13 gang members and criminals are embedded in large migrant groups and try to disguise themselves as unaccompanied children belonging to family units. The border is still out of control, and Congress refuses to change laws that would allow the US to deport illegal immigrants, like most other countries. In other words, the US government is the major cause of illegal immigration. -GEG

MS-13 members and other criminals are embedding themselves among a record number of “family units” pouring over the Rio Grande Valley sector of the Texas border with Mexico following the uproar and reversal of President Donald Trump’s efforts to curtail human trafficking and illegal immigration at the southern border. Trump was attacked by Democrats, the media, open border activists and the courts for holding adults for criminal and deportation processing apart from minors found with them at the border.

Recent press releases by the Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol Sector indicate how out of control is the border.

Also, a report Wednesday by local KVEO-TV featured the Border Patrol stating the problem in the Rio Grande Valley is worse than the flood of illegal alien families in 2014 under the Obama administration.

The Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol Sector is reporting a record number of illegal family migrations from Central American countries. The previous record was set back in 2014.

At sector headquarters in Edinburg agents say those are record breaking numbers. However, what is more concerning is the influx of criminals trying to get into the country illegally.

Agent Marcelino Medina says, “What we consider threats in the mix, we continue to see gang members, criminal aliens inside these groups trying to disguise themselves among the family units and unaccompanied children.”…

…Recently, in two separate incidents, Border Patrol agents apprehended 150 individuals comprised of family units and unaccompanied children all from Central American countries. Agents say it’s these large groups that concern them because of individuals trying to hide their criminal identities.

“We have seen sexual predators, people wanted for murder, and people wanted for assault. We’ve even encountered several types of gang members; MS-13 and 18th Street gang being the most prevalent.” Added Agent Medina…

Leftist Website Portrays Brutal MS-13 Gang as Clean-Cut, Hard-Working Teeenagers

Following President Trump’s crackdown on immigration and gangs, the leftist website Vox produced a video portraying the MS-13 gang from El Salvador as responsible teenagers who ride bikes, listen to music, and work after school jobs. In truth, MS-13 is brutally violent and criminal. Timothy Sini, a Suffolk County, New York, District Attorney, says the gang was responsible for 17 hideous murders in his county during 2016 and part of 2017.

American Majority CEO Ned Ryun says the motto of MS-13 is “Kill, Rape and Control.”  In Suffolk County, New York, the gang was responsible for 40% of the murders from 2016 thru June 2017.  In addition to violence, drug trafficking, and murder, MS-13 is funded by sex trafficking of girls as young as 14. -GEG

Virginia: Eleven MS-13 Gang Members Have Been Charged with Killing Two Teens

Eleven MS-13 gang members are facing life in prison after being charged in the kidnappings and deaths of two teens whose bodies were dug up in a Virginia park last year. The teens were killed weeks apart, as MS-13 allegedly believed that one was a member of a rival gang and the other was thought to be a police informant. The group’s motto is “Kill, rape, control.”

Eleven MS-13 gang members have been charged with the kidnapping and murder of two teenage boys from Virginia, announced the Department of Justice on Friday. All the gang members who have been charged are in their 20s and originally from El Salvador, though it’s unclear if they are legally or illegally in the United States.

Seventeen-year-old Edvin Escobar Mendez and 14-year-old Sergio Arita Triminio have been identified as the victims.

In a statement to Townhall, U.S. Attorney’s Office Director of Communications for the Eastern District of Virginia Joshua Stueve said, “While we note in the press release that all of the defendants are from El Salvador, we did not include any information as to their immigration status.”

Ten of those charged are currently being held in a federal detention center while one still remains at large, though he’s suspected to have fled the U.S.

A Ticking Time Bomb: MS-13 Gang Threatens a Middle School 10 Miles from the White House

Riverdale, Maryland: The brutal Central American MS-13 gang is recruiting children from the William Wirt Middle School, located just 10 miles from the White House. Fights occur almost daily at the school, knives and a BB gun have been confiscated, and some parents are afraid their children will be killed.  A 14-year old girl reported that she was raped by a gang member. Police had been called to the school 74 times since the school year started. The school’s population jumped by 50% in recent years due to the surge of immigration from 2012 to 2016 under Obama’s unaccompanied children program. Most MS-13 gangs are concentrated in Long Island, Boston, DC and Houston.

The boys had once been friends before MS-13 began recruiting one of them. Now, as other students streamed to class one April morning at William Wirt Middle School in Riverdale, Md., the two teens squared off in the third-story bathroom — a fight captured by another student on his cellphone.

The MS-13 recruit threw a punch at his former friend’s head. His opponent ducked and tackled the 15-year-old, their sneakers squealing as they tumbled to the green tile floor.

“I like that,” someone shouted off-camera as the recruit tried to cover his head.

“That look like it hurt,” someone wrote under the video, which was uploaded to Instagram on April 19 and has been viewed more than 400 times.

Gang-related fights are now a near-daily occurrence at Wirt, where a small group of suspected MS-13 members at the overwhelmingly Hispanic school in Prince George’s County throw gang signs, sell drugs, draw gang graffiti and aggressively recruit students recently arrived from Central America, according to more than two dozen teachers, parents and students. Most of those interviewed asked not to be identified for fear of losing their jobs or being targeted by MS-13.

Although administrators deny Wirt has a gang problem, the situation inside the aging, overcrowded building has left some teachers so afraid that they refuse to be alone with their students. Many said they had repeatedly reported incidents involving suspected gang members to administrators, only to be ignored — claims supported by documents obtained by The Washington Post.

“Teachers feel threatened but aren’t backed up. Students feel threatened but aren’t protected,” one educator said. “The school is a ticking time bomb.”

The gang’s presence at Wirt comes at a time when the Trump administration has declared war on MS-13, and communities throughout the country are confronting a surge in MS-13-related violence.

Nearly a dozen parents told The Post that they were worried about gang activity at the school, which is 10 miles from the White House. Many said they were intent on transferring their kids. Several said they were scared their children would be killed.

One eighth-grader said she had been raped in the fall by a schoolmate in MS-13 — an attack that took place off school property and that she reported to police but then recanted out of fear of the gang. Prince George’s investigators concluded the report was unfounded, but the girl said she now lives in fear the gang will stab her as she leaves school.

Rhonda Simley, the principal at Wirt, declined repeated requests for an interview.

“The principal is aware of concerns about gangs in the community, but has not experienced any problems in school,” John White, a spokesman for the county school system, wrote in an email.

Prince George’s police, which have an officer stationed at the school, declined to discuss the allegations of gang activity.

“This is their house, so we’re going to defer to school leadership,” said police spokeswoman Jennifer Donelan. “If school security isn’t telling us about something, then we don’t know.”

As of May 1, police had been called to the school 74 times this school year, according to a police tally requested by The Post.

Five students had been arrested for assault, drug possession and bringing a BB gun into the building, White said in an interview.

Although teachers estimate that there are only a dozen or so MS-13 members at the school, other students have banded together to resist them, leading to an arms race of sorts. Teachers said at least four knives and four BB guns were found at Wirt this year, although White put the tally at two knives and one BB gun.

“If someone doesn’t do something soon,” said the eighth-grade girl’s father, “there’s going to be a tragedy at that school.”
