Rand Paul Says the Deep State Defied a Direct Order from Trump to Revoke John Brennan’s Security Clearance
Senator Rand Paul said that the Deep State ignored President Trump’s order last summer to revoke former CIA Chief John Brennan’s security clearance, and said, “People talk about the Deep State, now the Deep State’s actually protecting their own and not listening to the President’s orders.” The New York Times recently reported that John Brennan, a rabid Trump hater, still has his security clearance because the White House never followed through with the bureaucratic work it would have taken to strip the clearance.
In August 2018, President Donald Trump revoked former CIA Director John Brennan’s security clearance.
On Tuesday Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) said that the Deep State
ignored President Trump’s order last summer to revoke former CIA Chief
John Brennan’s security clearance.
According to a report out by the New York Times, John Brennan, a rabid Trump hater, still has his security clearance because the White House never followed through with the complex bureaucratic work it would have taken to strip the clearance.
Attempts to revoked Brennan’s security clearance were “hampered by
aides who slow-rolled the President and by Justice Department officials
who fought Trump, warning he was jeopardizing national security,”
reported the Times.
FBI Opened Obstruction of Justice Probe Against Trump Even before Mueller Investigation
Michael Dreeben, an attorney for the Special Counsel’s office, said in a January 2018 hearing in federal court that, in 2017, “Before the appointment of the Special Counsel on May 17th, the FBI had opened up an investigation into obstruction of justice.” This shows that the deep state plotted against Trump and then lied about it to the President and to Congress. -GEG
In April 2018 Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein
told President Trump in a private meeting that he was not a target of
“any part of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.”
The meeting took place in early 2018 and Rosenstein, who brought up the investigations himself, offered the assurance during a meeting with Trump at the White House.
In May 2018 House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey
Gowdy told reporters FBI Director Christopher Wray and Deputy Attorney
General Rod Rosenstein assured him and several lawmakers that the
ongoing Russian witch hunt “has nothing to do with Donald Trump.”
Another Mole? President Trump’s Nominee for Atty General, William Barr, Is Close Friends with Robert Mueller
President Trump nominated William Barr for the position as attorney general, recently vacated by Jeff Sessions. Barr says he will not hinder or interfere with the Mueller investigation, despite the damage it has done to the President and despite its failure to produce proof of Russian collusion. Barr and Mueller – and their wives – are close friends. Mueller attended the weddings of Barr’s children. -GEG
The incoming chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee said Wednesday that attorney general nominee William Barr has confidence in special counsel Robert Mueller and will let him complete his Russia investigation.
Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said after meeting with Barr, who led the Justice Department under President George H.W. Bush, that Barr has a “high opinion” of Mueller. Barr was spending most of Wednesday on Capitol Hill, meeting senators on the committee before his confirmation hearing next week.
“He had absolutely no indication he was going to tell Bob Mueller what to do or how to do it,” Graham said.
President Donald Trump pushed out Attorney General Jeff Sessions in November and made Sessions’ chief of staff, Matthew Whitaker, the acting attorney general before nominating Barr in December.
Trump’s critics have expressed concern that Barr may try to curtail Mueller’s investigation, which Trump repeatedly has called a “hoax” and a “witch hunt.” Also, Barr wrote an unsolicited memo to the Justice Department last year critiquing Mueller’s investigation into whether the president sought to obstruct justice by firing James Comey as FBI director.
Graham said Barr also told him about his longtime relationship with Mueller. Barr and Mueller worked together when Barr was Bush’s attorney general from 1991 to 1993 and Mueller oversaw the department’s criminal division. Graham said that the two men were “best friends,” that their wives attended Bible study together and that Mueller had attended the weddings of Barr’s children.
“So his opinion of Mr. Mueller is very, very high in terms of ethics and character and professionalism,” Graham said.
Graham listed a number of questions that he had put to Barr: “I asked Mr. Barr directly, ‘Do you think Mr. Mueller is on a witch hunt?’ He said no. ‘Do you think he would be fair to the president and the country as a whole?’ He said yes. ‘And do you see any reason for Mr. Mueller’s investigation to be stopped?’ He said no. ‘Do you see any reason for a termination based on cause?’ He said no. ‘Are you committed to making sure Mr. Mueller can finish his job?’ ‘Yes.’”
Graham said Barr said that if he were attorney general, he would “err on the side of transparency” when he eventually received Mueller’s report.
The senator said Barr also told him that he has a high opinion of Rod Rosenstein, the current deputy attorney general who has so far overseen the Mueller investigation and is expected to leave office if Barr is confirmed.
The Deep State Lies about the Phony Steele Dossier Are Surfacing, But Investigation Documents Are Kept Under Wraps to Protect the UK
Glenn Simpson of Fusion GPS, who published the infamous Steele dossier, will assert his 5th Amendment right to silence instead of testifying in front of Congress because he previously testified under oath that he never spoke with Bruce Ohr about the Steele dossier prior to the FISA order in 2016. This is in direct contradiction to Bruce Ohr’s testimony under oath last month. Bruce Ohr was the #4 person in the Department of Justice at the time, and his wife, Nellie Ohr, worked on the Steele dossier for Fusion GPS. Someone lied to the FISA court, which is a crime.
Representative John Ratcliffe (R-TX) said that the investigation documents should be declassified because it would expose individuals in the Obama Justice Department and FBI who hid facts from the FISA court.
President Trump issued an order to declassify the documents on September 17, but then walked it back, following a request by two foreign allies to keep the docs classified. The UK reportedly begged Trump to keep the documents from being declassified over “grave concerns” that actions by Christopher Steele, the former British MI6 agent who compiled to the dossier, could bolster the claim that the British meddled in the US election.
After hinting for months that the FBI was not forthcoming with federal surveillance court judges when they made their case to spy on the Trump campaign, Texas Rep. John Ratcliffe (R) said on Sunday that the agency is holding evidence which “directly refutes” its premise for launching the probe, reports the Daily Caller‘s Chuck Ross.
Texas Rep. John Ratcliffe provided Sunday the clearest picture to date of what the FBI allegedly withheld from the surveillance court.
Ratcliffe suggested that the FBI failed to include evidence regarding former Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos, in an interview with Fox News.
Ratcliffe noted that the FBI opened its investigation on July 31, 2016, after receiving information from the Australian government about a conversation that Papadopoulos had on May 10, 2016, with Alexander Downer, the top Australian diplomat to the U.K. –Daily Caller
While Australia’s Alexander Downer claimed that Papadopoulos revealed Russia had “dirt” on Hillary Clinton, Ratcliffe – who sits on the House Judiciary Committee – suggested on Sunday that the FBI and DOJ possess information which directly contradicts that account.
“Hypothetically, if the Department of Justice and the FBI have another piece of evidence that directly refutes that, that directly contradicts that, what you would expect is for the Department of Justice to present both sides of the coin to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court to evaluate the weight and sufficiency of that evidence,” Ratcliffe said, adding: “Instead, what happened here was Department of Justice and FBI officials in the Obama administration in October of 2016 only presented to the court the evidence that made the government’s case to get a warrant to spy on a Trump campaign associate.”
UK Begged Trump Not To Declassify Russia Docs; Cited “Grave Concerns” Over Steele Involvement
The British government “expressed grave concerns” to the US government over the declassification and release of material related to the Trump-Russia investigation, according to the New York Times. President Trump ordered a wide swath of materials “immediately” declassified “without redaction” on Monday, only to change his mind later in the week by allowing the DOJ Inspector General to review the materials first.
The Times reports that the UK’s concern was over material which “includes direct references to conversations between American law enforcement officials and Christopher Steele,” the former MI6 agent who compiled the infamous “Steele Dossier.” The UK’s objection, according to former US and British officials, was over revealing Steele’s identity in an official document, “regardless of whether he had been named in press reports.”
We would note, however, that Steele’s name was contained within the Nunes Memo – the House Intelligence Committee’s majority opinion in the Trump-Russia case.
Steele also had extensive contacts with DOJ official Bruce Ohr and his wife Nellie, who – along with Steele – was paid by opposition research firm Fusion GPS in the anti-Trump campaign. Trump called for the declassification of FBI notes of interviews with Ohr, which would ostensibly reveal more about his relationship with Steele. Ohr was demoted twice within the Department of Justice for lying about his contacts with Fusion GPS.
Perhaps the Brits are also concerned since much of the espionage performed on the Trump campaign was conducted on UK soil throughout 2016. Recall that Trump aid George Papadopoulos was lured to London in March, 2016, where Maltese professor Joseph Mifsud fed him the rumor that Russia had dirt on Hillary Clinton. It was later at a London bar that Papadopoulos would drunkenly pass the rumor to Australian diplomat Alexander Downer (who Strzok flew to London to meet with).

Project Veritas Exposes IRS Employees in New Undercover Video
James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas released the fourth undercover video unmasking the Deep State. Two IRS officials, Thomas Sheehy, an IRS tax examiner and member of the Democratic Socialists of America, and Jerry Semasek, an IRS attorney in Washington, DC, candidly discuss the IRS’s unfair treatment of conservative non-profit groups. Sheehy praised former IRS Commissioner, John Koskinen, as being “so cool” for deleting emails to get rid of evidence. Sheehy went on to say that conservative groups should be given extra scrutiny, even if it is a crime because he thinks they are they are fronts for the Koch brothers. Attorney Semasek said that certain groups with phrases like “tea party” or “patriots” in their names received extra scrutiny, and he admits that was a mistake. -GEG

UPDATE: Sep 25, 2018, 2:36 PM | Project Veritas attorney Ben Barr submitted this complaint to the Department of Justice regarding the findings of this investigation.
(Washington DC) Project Veritas has released the fourth story in a series of undercover reports which unmask the Deep State. This report features two Internal Revenue Service (IRS) officials who candidly discuss the IRS’s unfair treatment of conservative non-profit groups. The two officials in the report are Thomas Sheehy, an IRS tax examiner and member of the Austin Democratic Socialists of America in Texas, and Jerry Semasek, an IRS attorney in Washington, DC.
The Austin Democratic Socialists of America is a socialist group that works to advance ‘progressive issues’ in Austin, Texas.
SHEEHY: “John Koskinen. He got a lot of flak for giving increased scrutiny to these Tea Party groups. Conservatives got really mad at him, he was so cool though because he deleted all the emails, so they could not hold any evidence against him.”
SHEEHY: “Yeah, I don’t give a s**t if that is a crime for doing that because… you should give increased scrutiny to those groups because a lot of them are just f***ing fronts for the Koch brothers or whatever.”
Mistakes Were Made
In a separate meeting, attorney Semasek discloses to Project Veritas multiple times that “mistakes were made,” during the 2013 scandal when conservative non-profits were targeted when applying for tax-exempt status.
SEMASEK: “… you know what, for what it’s worth, on the record, I know people in Tax Exempt Government Entities. All that stuff we saw in the news, yeah mistakes were made”
Attorney Semasek, who worked for the IRS during the 2013 scandal, continued:
SEMASEK: “… The law requires that an organization can’t be political, it can’t be partisan to be tax exempt… Those employees in Cincinnati Ohio started to separate them and put them in a pile. And it turns out that they were like the Tea Party group of people. And I think they did, like Lois Lerner and maybe some of her employees were more liberal leaning or Democrats so I don’t know if they disallowed them, but they required them to produce more documentation to try to prove that they weren’t partisan.”
He repeated that mistakes were made:
SEMASEK: “… and that was bad. I think, from what people tell me, that really know about, there were mistakes made, but the problem with what happened… And again, there were mistakes made, and I think probably some people that were advised against conservative groups did make some mistakes.”
In Undercover Video, Auditor for US Accountability Office Brags about Communists in the Federal Government
Natarajan Subramanian is an auditor for the Government Accountability Office and a member the Democratic Socialists of America. He manages social media for the DSA and admits working on DSA projects while at his federal job, despite knowing it is prohibited. He says there are numerous communists in the party and that he is one of them. He also says that one of his DSA friends is a contractor for the Department of Defense with Top-Secret clearance who works on war planning for Syria. Subramanian says that DSA only endorses candidates who can be controlled, and that there are many other government employees who are DSA members. -GEG

Resistance Against Administration’s Agenda: “If you’re in an Executive Branch agency, you can slow ball things to a degree… maybe you get fired or resign or whatever, but you slowed [Trump’s agenda] down.”
On His DSA Membership: “…it’s a socialist organization and we want to destroy capitalists.”
“We have a bunch of just like communists, like no prefix, and that’s basically me.”
GAO Auditor: “Do I care more about having this job, or do I care more about the [DSA] movement, and I was like… obviously the movement.”
GAO Auditor Admission: “I break rules every day… at any point I can get fired.”

“…we cannot comment on his personnel status due to privacy laws. But he has been removed from any ongoing GAO work and cut off from access to GAO equipment. We have a rigorous quality control process with many reviewers that prevents one person from biasing our final reports. But we will also examine his work product as part of our investigation.”
Four Congressmen, Including Pelosi and Schumer, Confirm in Writing that there Is an Agreement among Intelligence Officials To Withhold Info From the President
On Monday, President Trump demanded that documents related to the Russia probe be declassified. In response, Democrat Congressmen, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Adam Schiff, and Mark Warner, who are on the Intelligence Oversight Committee, sent a letter to top intelligence leaders reminding them that they had agreed they “would not provide the White House or any of the President’s attorneys with access to sensitive information briefed to a small group of designated Members.” In other words, these intelligence officials who are part of the Executive Branch, which is subject to the authority of the President, agreed to withhold information from their boss. [If the President runs true to form, he will do nothing about this. He may not even mention it.] -GEG
I’ve probably reviewed thousands of congressional letters, and intelligence committee letters from oversight, along with even more executive agency responses. In fact, CTH has shared hundreds of outlines covering granular details within many of the internal memos and correspondences. However, I have never seen anything like this before.
The combination of arrogance, hubris and desperation within a letter (pdf here) from the four Democrats on the intelligence oversight Gang of Eight, is palpable even in text format.
Legislative branch members: Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Adam Schiff and Mark Warner write a letter today to Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, and FBI Director Christopher Wray, demanding the executive branch cabinet members withhold information from the White House.
Perhaps more stunningly, and extra-constitutionally (meaning outside the framework of constitutional separation of power), within the jaw-dropping letter the four Democrats outline previous verbal conversations and current agreements with Coats, Rosenstein and Wray where the Cabinet officers agreed to keep information away from the White House Chief Executive, the President.
That third paragraph is particularly interesting: …”the verbal assurance you provided us that DOJ and FBI would not provide the White House“…
Why would the Trump DOJ and FBI be giving Pelosi Inc. “assurances” of their intent to withhold intelligence from the White House (Office of the President).
Why would Rosenstein and Wray be giving “assurances”? I digress.
Project Veritas Exposes Employee at DOJ Who Uses Government Databases to Stalk Individuals With Political Views She Does Not Like
Allison Hrabar, a paralegal at the Department of Justice and active member of the Democrat Socialists of America, says she and her co-workers resist President Trump’s policies from the inside and that she is lucky to work for the DOJ because she cannot be fired. She led a protest at the home of a Washington DC lobbyist, Jeremy Wiley, who works on behalf of a company that builds prisons. She admitted using government resources to find Wiley’s address and to run a license-plate report on his car, which is in violation of the Hatch Act.
In another interview, it is learned that Jessica Schubel, the former Chief of Staff for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services during the Obama administration, now acts as a conduit for current employees who are part of the covert ‘resistance’ movement against Trump. They send leaked material to her, which she forwards to the media that uses it to move public opinion against Trump. -GEG
On Wednesday Project Veritas released the second installment in their undercover video series unmasking the Deep State.
The first reportin this series featured Stuart Karaffa, an avowed socialist who admits to engaging in political activism while working at the Department of State.
This video features a Department of Justice paralegal, Allison Hrabar, who reportedly uses government owned software and computers to push a socialist agenda and punish people she disagrees with.
Also featured is Jessica Schubel, the former Chief of Staff for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services during the last Obama administration.
Hrabar herself appears to illegally use government-owned property to engage in DSA activities. The video shows a meeting with Cliff Green, another DSA member, stating that Hrabar uses the government’s Lexis Nexis account to find home addresses to stage DSA protests targeting non-DSA members:
“So Allison is a paralegal, so she, her living is researching people, so she’s very good at researching people. So, they just find the companies, and then the people that run those companies, and then they find their home address. She uses Lexis Nexis and a couple other software things.”
James O’Keefe of Project Veritas Releases Video of Deep State Employee Who Admits He Uses His Job to Advance Socialism and Resist Everything Else
Project Veritas investigators infiltrated the US State Department and exposed left-wing activists using their jobs to pursue their agenda. Stuart Karaffa, a Management and Program Analyst with the Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations, is a member of Democratic Socialists of America, and proudly admits that he engages in DSA activism on the job. He is part of the anti-Trump resistance movement and said his goal is to, “Resist everything.” He joked that, even if he got caught, it is impossible to fire a federal employee. -GEG
James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas launched its long-awaited investigative series into the “deep state” on Tuesday morning with a video of a State Department employee who boasts about organizing for the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) during work.
Stuart Karaffa, who formerly worked on a data analytics program cut by the Trump administration, told Project Veritas journalists operating a hidden camera that he now filled his 8:30-to-5:00 days with work for the DSA, waiting until quitting time to send his DSA emails.
He said that theoretically he could be caught — “Maybe someday I’ll go to Board of Elections jail” — probably not but joked that it would be impossible to fire a federal employee.
New Emails Between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page Indicate They May Have Leaked Info to Media
Emails between FBI officials, Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, have been found that reference a “media-leak strategy” and then acknowledge that an article actually was leaked. The significance of this is that it is further proof that Executive-branch employees worked to harm the president for whom they, supposedly, worked. Law enforcement agencies, such as the FBI, leaking information to the media for political purposes is incredibly unethical and dangerous. -GEG
New York Times Op-Ed: Anonymous ‘Senior Official’ Admits White House Staff Is Working Against President Trump
The New York Times published an opinion article by someone claiming to be “part of the Resistance inside the Trump administration” on Wednesday. The anonymous staffer claims that he works for the President, but he and like-minded colleagues have vowed to thwart parts of his agenda. The writer concluded his message with praise for war hawk, John McCain. -GEG
The New York Times published an anonymous op-ed from a member of the Trump administration who declared him or herself “part of the Resistance inside the Trump administration” Wednesday afternoon.
In the sub-headline of the Times article, the anonymous staffer declares “I work for the president but like-minded colleagues and I have vowed to thwart parts of his agenda and his worst inclinations.” The editorial board introduce the author, a “senior official in the Trump administration,” with gender-neutral language, but a tweet from the publication calls the author a “he.”
Though the headline uses the phrase “the Resistance,” the author appears to be a Never-Trump conservative in the mold of Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), touting “deregulation” and “historic tax reform” as successes that “have come despite — not because of — the president’s leadership style.”
“We want the administration to succeed and think that many of its policies have already made America safer and more prosperous,” the individual writes, but “the president continues to act in a manner that is detrimental to the health of our republic.”
The staffer’s definition of what is supposedly “detrimental” to the country seems to be anything other than establishment GOP orthodoxy.
“Although he was elected as a Republican, the president shows little affinity for ideals long espoused by conservatives: free minds, free markets and free people. At best, he has invoked these ideals in scripted settings. At worst, he has attacked them outright,” the staffer writes.
The anonymous writer goes on to admit that on many issues, members of the administration are working against the president.
“Americans should know that there are adults in the room,” the piece continues. “We fully recognize what is happening. And we are trying to do what’s right even when Donald Trump won’t.”
The anonymous staffer assures readers: “This isn’t the work of the so-called deep state. It’s the work of the steady state.”
Finally, the writer finishes the post by heaping praise on the late John McCain, referring to him as “a lodestar for restoring honor to public life and our national dialogue” and accusing Trump of fearing “such honorable men” like McCain.
Trump Revokes Security Clearance from Former CIA Chief John Brennan
