2020 Democrat Candidates Trash America as Racist to Win Black Votes

During the Democrat debate last Friday night, each 2020 candidate condemned “systemic racism” and characterized America as an evil place with rot in its very foundations. The candidates include Bernie Sanders, who said that America is a racist society from top to bottom, Pete Buttigieg, Elizabeth Warren, Joe Biden, Amy Klobuchar, Andrew Yang, and Tom Steyer. Elizabeth Warren declared that “we need race-conscious laws in education, in employment, in entrepreneurship to make this country a country for everyone,” which would change laws in order to give privilege to people of color. Tom Steyer promised he would authorize reparations payments. -GEG

The Democrats are lucky the February debate in New Hampshire took place on a Friday night, when relatively few were watching — because if they wanted to deliver the message to the working-class white people who delivered the upper Midwest and the presidency to Donald Trump in 2016 that they should stick with him rather than voting blue in November, they did a brilliant job of it.

Tom Steyer, the billionaire who’s trying to buy a win Bloomberg-style in the South Carolina Democratic primary, issued a stark warning at the beginning of the Democratic debate Friday night in New Hampshire: Trump has the economic numbers that can help him get reelected, and Democrats are going to need to have a strong message to overwhelm it.

About an hour into the debate, they found their message: America, Bernie Sanders said, is “a racist society from top to bottom.”

One by one, the candidates echoed the message that “systemic racism” characterizes America.

“We can’t legislate away racism,” said Andrew Yang, because racism runs so deep in the American soul.

Joe Biden, verbatim (poor Joe): “The fact is that we in fact there is systemic racism.”

Elizabeth Warren even declared that “we need race-conscious laws in education, in employment, in entrepreneurship to make this country a country for everyone.”

By which she means the law should actually be written to privilege people of color.

Kamala Harris Proposes $100 Billion Grant to Help Black Families Become Home Owners

Democrat Presidential candidate, Kamala Harris, proposed a $100 billion US Housing and Urban Development grant to provide up to $25,000 for down payments and closing costs. Harris’ bill would also loosen credit standards with the goal of creating more home loans, which is similar to the subprime loan policy that tanked the US economy in 2008. She blamed the credit rating that she claims holds people back, and she proposed adding rent payments, cell phone payments and utility payments that would go toward individuals’ credit scores, but it could also destroy their credit score.

Taking aim at the racial wealth gap in the U.S., Democratic
presidential candidate Kamala Harris proposed a $100 billion program to
help black families and individuals buy homes.

Speaking
at the Essence Festival in New Orleans on Saturday, Harris said the
program would help with down payments and other costs associated with
purchasing homes.

The program, she estimated, would help 4 million families who
live or rent in historically red-lined areas, or those where loans are
often refused because borrowers are seen as poor financial risks.

“We must right the wrong, and after generations of
discrimination give black families a real shot at home-ownership —
historically one of the most powerful drivers of wealth,” Harris said.

The
program, which would be administrated by the Department of Housing and
Urban Development, would give grants of up to $25,000 to families with
incomes of up to $100,000, or as much as $125,000 in high-income
communities. Harris said the plan would, over time, reduce the wealth
gap between black and white families by one-third.

Presidential Hopeful, Pete Buttigieg, Pitches Plan to Fight ‘Systemic Racism’ After Backlash for Police Shooting in South Bend

Presidential candidate, Pete Buttigieg, the Mayor of South Bend, Indiana, gave a speech to a predominantly black audience promising to eliminate prison time for drug possession, restoring voting rights to 6-million Americans with felony convictions, and providing reparations for the descendants of slaves. Buttigieg, who is a Rhodes scholar, is seeking support from black Democrat voters but polled close to 0% support from that group at a recent debate. He now seeks to change that by describing America as a racist nation following a recent incident in which a white South Bend police officer shot and killed 54-year-old black resident, Eric Logan, after he was allegedly caught breaking into cars with a knife. The officer’s camera was turned ‘off’ at the time of the shooting.

The officer claims that the suspect, Mr. Logan, had a woman’s purse stuck in his clothing, was acting erratically, and hurled a hunting knife at him at the time of the shooting. Logan had prior arrests for weapons and drug charges, and an active felony warrant for violating probation. He faced being returned to prison for the remaining seven years of a previous prison sentence. The South Bend Fraternal Order of Police Lodge criticized Mayou Buttigieg for being more concerned with “boosting his own presidential political campaign than ensuring a fair investigation” and for calling the entire police force racist.


Seeking support of black voters, Democratic presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg pitched a plan Tuesday to tackle “systemic racism” that he says exists in housing, health care, education, policing, and all other aspects of American life.

The 37-year-old mayor of South Bend, Indiana, told a predominantly black audience at a Chicago meeting of Rainbow PUSH, Rev. Jesse Jackson’s civil-rights organization, that his plan includes providing more opportunity for minority businesses, strengthening voting rights, and reforming the criminal justice system.

He said he would cut incarceration numbers in half by eliminating prison time for drug possession. He wants to restore voting rights for 6 -million Americans with felony convictions, and supports “bold and meaningful action” on reparations for the descendants of slaves.

Buttigieg’s speech followed the June 16 fatal shooting of a black man by a white South Bend police officer, which he said re-exposed a “racial chasm” between black and white residents in the racially diverse community of roughly 100,000 people. The shooting prompted Buttigieg to leave the campaign trail, and it has threatened to erode the already marginal backing he’s received from black voters for his 2020 bid so far.

Democrats Panic as Black Voters Give Trump 29% Approval Rating

Democrats could be facing a crisis as Rasmussen Reports tweeted that a recent poll showed that black voters gave President Trump a 29% approval rating. Black voters normally overwhelmingly vote Democrat, and the party depends on them heavily. -GEG

If this figure reported in Rasmussen’s daily presidential tracking poll Friday is anywhere close to accurate, Democrats are closing in on a crisis.  While to poll results available to the general public reported on the Rasmussen Reports website do not contain the racial breakdown (Rasmussen pays its bills by selling detailed breakdowns of its polling results to political pros), so notable was the figure that Rasmussen tweeted out a notice:

Given the booming economy, many African-Americans are experiencing opportunities for employment the likes of which were completely unavailable during the eight years of America’s First Black President.  Opportunity is calling, and many people of any race who previously despaired of bettering themselves through work are finding out that a rising tide does indeed lift all boats.

With approval nearing one third of American blacks, it is no longer viable for Democrats to insist that Trump is such a vile racist that any favorable views of him should be censured by all right-thinking African-Americans.

The Democrats heavily depend on 90-plus-percent turnout and 90-plus-percent support for Democrats among African-Americans.  If that level of support falls to 71%, the game is more or less over.
