Police Arrest a 9-Year Old and 13-Year Old For Attempted Robbery in Washington, DC
At 12:40 am, two boys, ages 9 and 13, who should have been in bed, approached the victim while she was walking home. One of the robbers hit the victim in the stomach and tried to grab her purse. The victim pepper sprayed one of the suspects. The second robber pulled out a knife and lunged at the victim multiple times.
Bayer/ Monsanto Was Ordered to Pay $2.25 Billion in Latest Roundup Case
Bayer acquired Monsanto in 2018 and was ordered to pay $2.25 billion to a Pennsylvania man who said he developed cancer from exposure to the company’s Roundup weedkiller. The verdict includes $250 million in compensation and $2 billion in punitive damages that sends a message that the company needs to change.
Kentucky Proposes New Laws that Include Using Deadly Force Against Homeless People
New laws proposed in Kentucky include allowing property owners to use “justifiable” force to remove homeless trespassers. The bill also deems “deadly physical force” justifiable if a defendant believes a homeless individual is attempting to “dispossess” or rob them of their property, or committing arson.
Seattle Pays 2020 BLM Rioters $10 Million Over ‘Excessive Force’ Claims
Seattle has agreed to pay $10 million to 50 rioters injured by police during the summer of riots. Seattle claimed that it was too costly to go to trial. In the last year, Denver agreed to pay $4.7 million to 300 BLM rioters arrested in 2020. Philadelphia coughed up $9 million. NYC is paying $13 million.
