Brazil: President Jair Bolsonaro Rejects Vaccine Passports and Travel Bans

President Jair Bolsonaro, Wiki
President Bolsonaro, who has not been vaccinated, rejected a request from Anvisa, Brazil’s health regulatory agency, to implement a vaccine passport. Bolsonaro responded by asking why the health passport and said, “What is that leash that they want to put on the Brazilian people? Where is our freedom? I would rather die than lose my freedom.” In addition, the country also rejected vaccine passports for foreign travelers arriving in the country, but will require a 5-day quarantine for those who are unvaxxed. Vaccine passports are essential to forcing the Chinese-style social credit system and and new monetary system controlled by bankers, known as central bank digital currency (CBDC), on the masses.

Brazil on Tuesday ruled out requiring a Covid-19 vaccination certificate for foreign travelers arriving in the country, despite a recommendation from the national health regulator.

The move came after far-right President Jair Bolsonaro compared such a mandate to a “leash” for animals.

Health Minister Marcelo Queiroga told reporters after a meeting at the presidency that “people cannot be discriminated between vaccinated and unvaccinated to impose restrictions.”

However, Queiroga said that with the precise characteristics of the Omicron variant still unknown, Brazil will require “a five-day quarantine” for unvaccinated travelers, as recommended by the health regulator Anvisa.

After that period, and with a negative PCR test, foreigners traveling to the country as tourists “can take advantage of the beauties of our great Brazil,” the minister said.

Until now, the only requirement had been to present a negative PCR test.

I fully support the Brazilian Presiden’t view; here in Australia we will soon only have the option of taking the vaccine or being killed by the authorities who, of course, love us so dearly. They being the only choices, I know which one I will opt for. Give me liberty or give me death. I believe in you Jesus, but seems we have to be put to the ultimate test, but I will always trust and believe in you my saviour.`
