Summary by JW Williams

Pinellas County, Florida: Jeremy Brown is a Green Beret and served in the US Army from 1992 to 2012 and reached the rank of Special Forces Master Sergeant. Brown is a whistleblower who revealed that the FBI tried to recruit him as an operative for the January 6 rally at the Capitol; the FBI went to his home and tried to recruit him to spy on patriotic Americans ahead of the rally and he released the video of the FBI’s visit to the media. Brown did attend the rally at the Capitol in January 6 to provide security for the permitted rally. He is affiliated with the Oath Keepers and was concerned about infiltration. On September 30th, the FBI raided Jeremy Brown’s home and arrested Jeremy. He was charged with entering restricted grounds even though he says he never entered the Capitol, and possession of unregistered firearms at his home.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, a judge refused to release Brown alleging that he threatened the FBI, Homeland Security, the US Marshals Service and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office when he posted a sign addressed to them urging them to “re-read your oath,” saying they were being used as “pawns by the enemies of this republic,” and warning when they came back, they should “bring a bigger tactical package.” Brown said, “The fact that I even posted the sign should be clear that it was not a threat,” he said. “It was simply a jab against them.” Brown said he joined the Oath Keepers shortly after the November 2020 presidential election and was concerned that the group would be “infiltrated” and “targeted.”

Mr. Brown made a video listing crimes committed by the FBI and Department of Justice (DOJ) that include: violation of Title 18, Section 242, deprivation of rights under color of law, violation of the First Amendment that criminalized free speech and the lawful attendance at a permitted rally at a public building, violation of the Second Amendment by passing and unconstitutional gun laws, violations of the Fourth Amendment by obtaining an unreasonable and illegal search warrant by unlawfully deceiving the issuing judge, along witht he refusal to produce the warrant, and violation of the Fifth Amendment by failing to read Mr. Brown his rights prior to arrest and questioning. He says the DOJ continues to deprive him of life, liberty and due process of law. He says that he has been denied a speedy trial. All contact with his legal team is recorded, violating attorney — client privilege. He has been denied bond, against the Eighth Amendment, and is locked up in a maximum security prison.

On November 8, 2021, Jeremy Brown announced that he will be on a hunger strike until his liberty is restored.
