Revolver.com Investigates Ray Epps, January 6 Provocateur Protected by the Federal Government

Revolver.com investigated Ray Epps, a man who instructed protesters to enter the US Capitol building on January 5, and later shepherded crowds towards the Capitol on January 6, was shouted down by a crowd that accused him of being a federal agent trying to entrap patriots. Revolver has tied Epps to others who seemed to be leading the breach of the Capitol, yet have not been indicted by the Justice Department. The news outlet also revealed that Attorney General Merrick Garland oversaw the Oklahoma City Bombing prosecutions, which are riddled with many disturbing unanswered questions and worked with the FBI in the 1990s as they infiltrated militia groups.

Summary by JW Williams

An investigation by Revolver into Ray Epps, a former Marine and Oath Keepers leader from Arizona, uncovered other evidence that led researchers to alleged that Epps directed the “breach team” that committed the very first illegal acts on January 6th, 10 minutes before Trump’s speech at the National Mall was even finished. Multiple videos show Epps instructing protesters to enter the US Capitol building on January 5, and later shepherding crowds towards the Capitol on January 6. Ray Epps was accused of being a federal agent by Trump supporters when he insisted that they needed to enter the Capitol. Epps has not been arrested. Revolver wrote that Ray Epps was removed from the FBI Most Wanted List in July, even though he was easily identified.

Epps appears to have worked alongside several individuals, many of them suspiciously unindicted, to carry out a breach of the police barricades that induced a subsequent flood of unsuspecting MAGA protesters to unwittingly trespass on Capitol restricted grounds. The barricades had been moved, and there was no signage that those ordinarily public grounds were restricted for the day. In one video clip, Epps proposes such obviously illegal activities that even John Sullivan, a suspected federal agent and former BLM member, joked that Ray Epps is “some undercover agent type shit.” Revolver has also built an investigation around Stewart Rhodes, the founding leader of the Oath Keepers, and the news outlet alleges he coordinated the breach of the Capitol. Epps also had contact with Ryan Samsel, who is affiliated with the Proud Boys, and whispered in his ear just before Samsel broke down barriers. Samsel was arrested and the FBI is reportedly focused on Samsel while seeming to ignore other breach team leaders. Samsel’s attorney says that he has sustained very serious injuries from prison guards including a shattered orbital floor, a broken orbital bone, a broken jaw, and a broke nose. His right eye was rendered useless and he may end up permanently blind on that side.

In a House hearing last Thursday, US Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY) questioned Attorney General Merrick Garland about  Ray Epps, who instructed AG Garland dodged Rep. Massie’s question about “how many agents or assets of the federal government were present on January 6, whether they agitated to go into the Capitol, and if any of them did?”

It is interesting to note that Merrick Garland oversaw the Oklahoma City Bombing prosecutions, which are riddled with many disturbing unanswered questions. According to Revolver.com, Garland worked with the FBI on several key right-wing militia cases in the 1990s, just as the Justice Department was kicking its militia infiltration operations into high gear. FBI agents reportedly posed as members of an invented racist militia group called the Veterans Aryan Movement.
