U.S. Shipping-Container Crisis Caused by Environmental Laws That Create Truck Shortage

There is a trucking crisis at California’s ports, thT of Los Angeles (POLA) and the Port of Long Beach (POLB), that is causing the bottleneck in supply chains because all semi tractors have to be current with new California emissions standards, or they may not operated in the state. That means trucks cannot be older than 3 years if they are to pick up or deliver containers at those ports. This issue especially affects fleet trucks at the ports. In a court settlement, dated October 16, 2020, the US Environmental Protection Agency announced settlements with three interstate trucking companies for violating the California Air Resources Board’s federally enforceable emissions restrictions on diesel trucks to filter particulate matter and nitrogen oxides. Virtually all private owner-operator trucks and half of the fleet trucks that are used for moving containers across the nation have been shut out. Big businesses in the private sector, including Amazon, Walmart, UPS, FedEx, Samsung, Home Depot and Target, were aware of this problem years ago and quietly diverted shipments of their goods to other ports.

Hundreds of requests for details on the specifics of the container shipping backlog.  So, I spent 3 days calling sources, digging for details and gathering information on the substantive issue at hand.  The epicenter of the problem is not what is being outlined by financial media, corporate media and politicians who have a specific interest in distracting from the issues at hand.  This has nothing to do with COVID-19.

The issues being discussed today relate to events that happened a long time ago.  As a matter of fact, it was so predictable that Amazon, Walmart, UPS, FedEx, Samsung, The Home Depot and Target all had taken actions years ago -long before COVID- because they knew this day would come.  It was not accidental that those companies showed up at the White House to discuss the issue, because there’s now a full court press to hide it.

The trucking issue with California LA ports, ie the Port of Los Angeles (POLA) and the Port of Long Beach (POLB), is that all semi tractors have to be current with new California emissions standards.  As a consequence, that mean trucks cannot be older than 3 years if they are to pick up or deliver containers at those ports.  This issue wipes out approximately half of the fleet trucks used to move containers in/out of the port.  Operating the port 24/7 will not cure the issue, because all it does is pile up more containers that sit idle as they await a limited number of trucks to pick them up.  THIS is the central issue.

On October 16, 2020, the EPA reached a settlement agreement [DATA HERE] with California Air Resource Board (CARB) to shut down semi tractor rigs that were non-compliant with new California emission standards:

2020 SAN FRANCISCO – “Today, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced settlements with three interstate trucking companies imposing $417,000 in penalties for violating the California Air Resources Board’s federally enforceable Truck and Bus Regulation, Drayage Truck Regulation and Transport Refrigeration Unit Regulation.

“As trucks are one of the largest sources of air pollution in California, EPA will continue to ensure these heavy-duty vehicles have the needed pollution-control equipment and operate in compliance with the rules,” said EPA Pacific Southwest Regional Administrator John Busterud. “These companies have agreed to bring their trucks into compliance and operate more cleanly in all communities they serve.”

Transportation is a primary contributor to the high levels of air pollutants in Southern California and the Central Valley. Diesel emissions from trucks are one of the state’s largest sources of fine particle pollution, or soot, which is linked to health issues including asthma, impaired lung development in children, and cardiovascular effects in adults. Many of these trucks are older models and emit high amounts of particulate matter (PM) and nitrogen oxides (NOx).

[…] California Truck and Bus Regulation and Drayage Truck Regulation have been essential parts of the state’s federally enforceable plan to attain cleaner air. California requires trucking companies to upgrade vehicles they own to meet specific NOx and PM performance standards and to verify compliance of vehicles they hire or dispatch. Heavy-duty diesel trucks in California must meet 2010 engine emissions standards or use diesel particulate filters to reduce the diesel particulates emissions into the atmosphere by 85% or more.  (read more)

In effect, what this 2020 determination and settlement created was an inability of half the nation’s truckers from picking up anything from the Port of LA or Port of Long Beach.  Virtually all private owner operator trucks and half of the fleet trucks that are used for moving containers across the nation were shut out.

British Member of Parliament Stabbed to Death in his Church by ‘Somali Muslim’

Essex, England: On October 15, David Amess, an MP who was meeting with constituents at his church, was stabbed 17 times and died from his wounds. Amess was a champion of refugee resettlement in the UK who backed the Red Cross’s “Every Refugee Matters” campaign and worked to help migrants access health and education benefits. The murder was declared to be an act of terrorism, potentially linked to Islamic extremism, and is under investigation by the Counter Terrorism Police. Authorities took a 25-year old man, Ali Harbi Ali, into custody after the killing. Dad Harbi Ali Kullane, a former adviser to the prime minister of Somalia, confirmed his British-born son was in custody. Cops are said to be trying to establish a motive so they can charge him under the Terrorism Act, rather than just murder, leading to the prospect of a whole life sentence if convicted.

The Metropolitan Police officially declared the murder of Conservative MP Sir David Amess in Essex to be a terrorist incident, and put Counter Terrorism Policing in charge of the investigation.

“The fatal stabbing in Leigh-on-Sea has tonight been declared as a terrorist incident,” by Deputy Assistant Commissioner Dean Haydon, the Met announced late Friday, adding that “The early investigation has revealed a potential motivation linked to Islamist extremism.”

The Counter Terrorism Command is “working closely with colleagues from the Eastern Region Specialist Operations Unit (ERSOU) and Essex Police,” the Met added.

Amess was attacked and stabbed multiple times on Friday, during a weekly meeting with constituents at the Belfairs Methodist Church in Leigh-on-Sea. The authorities identified the suspect only as “a 25-year-old British man” who was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody at a police station in Essex.

Within hours, however, the British media said the suspect was “of African appearance” and identified him as being of Somali origin. His name has not been released.

FDA Delays Moderna for Young Teens Pending Investigation into Heart Inflammation Side Effect

After four Nordic countries recommended against using Moderna for young children, the FDA is pausing approval of Moderna’s Covid-19 injection for adolescents until it investigates cases of myocarditis, described as an “inflammation of the heart muscle.” The Wall Street Journal reported that the European Medicines Agency safety database recorded three times as many reports of myocarditis among Moderna vaccine recipients than Pfizer-BioNTech recipients. In the US, Moderna’s shot is still pending FDA approval, and the Pfizer-BioNTech jab remains the only injection with to be approved for 12 to 17-year-olds, despite the jab prompting several cases of the exact same heart condition.

The FDA is pausing approval of Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccine until it investigates cases of myocarditis, the Wall Street Journal reports.

According to an anonymous source, the federal regulatory agency is investigating whether the mRNA jab could lead to higher incidences of the supposedly rare side effect, described as an “inflammation of the heart muscle” by the Mayo Clinic, after several Nordic countries recommended against Moderna’s use in young children.

The Food and Drug Administration is delaying a decision on authorizing Moderna Inc.’s MRNA -2.31% Covid-19 vaccine for adolescents to assess whether the shot may lead to heightened risk of a rare inflammatory heart condition, according to people familiar with the matter.

After four Nordic countries strengthened their stances against giving Moderna vaccines to younger adults last week, the FDA has been taking another look at the risk of the condition, known as myocarditis, among younger men who took Moderna’s vaccine, especially compared with those who received the vaccine from Pfizer Inc. PFE -0.43% and BioNTech SE, BNTX -1.06% the people said.

So far, the regulators haven’t determined whether there is an elevated risk, the people said. The delay could be several weeks, but the timing is unclear, one of the people said.

Myocarditis cases are reportedly contributing to vaccine-hesitant skepticism over the vaccine.

The Journal notes regulators are being extra cautious after several European countries halted the AstraZeneca vaccine rollout over heart complication issues, with Johnson & Johnson’s Covid vaccine showing similar issues in the US.

Transhumanists Met in Spain to Plan Global Transformation

Transhumanism is similar to a religion and has the goal of merging man with machine. If it seems far-fetched, consider the advances in bionics, robotics, neuroprosthetics, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and genetic engineering. Reliance on smartphones is an early phase of our symbiosis with machines. In our age of all-pervasive technology, entire societies are revolutionized before anyone can grasp the change. Singularity is when technological growth becomes uncontrollable and irreversible, resulting in unforeseeable changes to human civilization. One critic warned that the global health crises are being used as an excuse for greater authoritarianism. Another critic added that the Covid injections could end up as a Trojan Horse for some kind of social credit-style monitoring system and more.

Transhumanism is a futuristic religion that exalts technology as the highest power. The movement’s goal is to merge man with machine. Their wildest prophecies seem ridiculous at first, until you consider the dizzying advances in bionics, robotics, neuroprosthetics, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and genetic engineering.

Prominent figures gathered at the TransVision 2021 conference in Madrid over the weekend. Listening to the proceedings online, I heard a broad range of totalizing schemes. There were no Luddites or Amish onstage, but of course, Spain is a long haul for a horse-and-buggy. Besides, no unvaccinated person can legally cross the Spanish border.

Transhumanists hold that the human condition of ignorance, loneliness, sadness, disease, old age, and death can be transcended through improved gadgetry. Many believe tribalism will also be eliminated — perhaps through brain implants — but this elite clique tends to be so convicted, legacy humans will have no say in the matter.

Their radical ideas are hardly marginal. Transhuman values have been implicitly embraced by the world’s wealthiest technologists. Consider Bill Gates pushing universal jabs, Jeff Bezos’s quest for “life extension,” Elon Musk’s proposed brain implants, Mark Zuckerberg’s forays into the Metaverse, and Eric Schmidt’s plans for an American technocracy racing against China.

If Big Tech is the established church, transhumanists are Desert Fathers in the wilderness.

The Cult of the Singularity

Naturally, the dominant tone at TransVision was set by hardcore transhumanists: Max and Natasha More, José Cordeiro, David Wood, Jerome Glenn, Phillipe van Nedervelde, Ben Goertzel, Aubrey de Grey, Bill Faloon, and even in his absence, Ray Kurzweil, a top R&D director at Google and founder of Singularity University. Each proponent has a unique angle, but they converge on a shared mythos.

Allowing for variation, transhumanists confess there is no God but the future Computer God. They believe neuroprosthetics will allow communion with this artificial deity. They believe robot companions should be normalized. They believe longevity tech will confer approximate immortality. They believe virtual reality provides a life worth living. Above all, they believe the Singularity is near.

Delta Airlines CEO Rejects Vaccine Mandates but Will Punish Unvaccinated Employees

Delta Airlines CEO Ed Bastian declared on Saturday that his company won’t adhere to Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate because the Delta’s workforce is already 90% vaccinated. In August, Delta Airline sent a memo to employees advising that if they reject the vaccines, a monthly $200 surcharge, beginning in November, would be added to their insurance if they are insured through Delta. Bastian claimed that the average hospital stay for Covid-19 cost Delta $50,000 and the decision not to vaccinate created a higher financial risk.

While Delta Airlines CEO appeared on national news to defend his company’s decision not to require its employees to become vaccinated, the company instead has a policy that financially punishes those who refuse the vaccine if they participate in the company’s health insurance plan.

IN a clip posted by Arsenal Media’s Benny Johnson, Delta Airlines CEOEd Bastian appeared on Fox Business to discuss how his business handled mass vaccination efforts. When the conversation turned to why his airline does not specifically mandate COVID-19 vaccines, CEO Ed Basstian said that his company found another way to reach a near universal vaccination rate.

“The reason the mandate was put in by the president, I believe, was because they wanted to make sure companies had a plan to get their employees vaccinated,” said Bastian. “A month before the president came out with the mandate, we already announced our plan to get all of our people vaccinated. And the good news is, the plan is working.”

The plan Bastian refers to involves fining employees who partake in the company’s health insurance plan $200 per month if they do not receive one of the controversial vaccine, and ostensibly the following booster shots.

The New York Times Issues Embarrassing Correction after Claiming 900,000 American Children were Hospitalized for Covid

The New York Times (NYT) recently had to issue a correction to a report that wildly inflated the risk of Covid to children in order to push Pfizer’s experimental mRNA shots on children as young as five, who have a minuscule risk. The NYT originally claimed that 900,000 children in the US have been hospitalized with a Covid diagnosis since the beginning of the pandemic, but they corrected the number to 63,000 child Covid hospitalizations from August 2020 to October 2021. Mainstream news outlets follow the NYT as the leader in reporting, and this is another example of its harmful propaganda.

The New York Times has had to issue a lengthy, embarrassing correction to a report that wildly inflated the risk of Covid to children in order to push Pfizer’s experimental mRNA shots on kids as young as five.
