Oregon Proposes Bill Allowing Government to Seize Private Property in an ‘Emergency’

The Oregon House of Representatives introduced House Bill 2238 that would grant the governor power that essentially amounts to martial law in the state under a declared emergency, which includes seizure of property. Potential targets for seizure could include hospitals, housing, non-compliant businesses, and perhaps even privately-owned firearms.

The bill states that when the governor declares a state of emergency, he or she may issue, amend and enforce rules and orders to: “Control, restrict, and regulate by rationing, freezing, use of quotas, prohibitions on shipments, price fixing, allocation or other means, the use, sale, and distribution of food, feed, fuel, clothing and other commodities, materials, and services” and to “Take any other action, including through the seizure, use or possession of any real or personal property, that may be necessary for the management of resources following an emergency.”

Oregon’s Democrat Governor Kate Brown defended Antifa and Black Lives Matter militants attempting to burn down a federal courthouse last summer and she recently extended Emergency Orders to remain in control. The United States of America was founded upon the protection of life, liberty, and property, and the very thought that the government could unilaterally seize one’s property ought terrify every American.

The Oregon state legislature is currently considering a bill which would allow for the Governor to seize, use, or possess any private property during a state of emergency.

HB-2238 is supposedly meant to clarify the “Governor’s authority to use property during an emergency.” There are already provisions in place to allow for limited use of private property by the state government, but this bill seeks to drastically expand these. As proposed in HB-2238,

“Whenever the Governor has declared a state of emergency, the Governor may issue, amend and enforce rules and orders to:
1) Control, restrict and regulate by rationing, freezing, use of quotas, prohibitions on shipments, price fixing, allocation or other means, the use, sale or distribution of food, feed, fuel, clothing and other commodities, materials, goods and services;
2) Prescribe and direct activities in connection with use, conservation, salvage and prevention of waste of materials, services and facilities, including, but not limited to, production, transportation, power and communication facilities training, and supply of labor, utilization of industrial plants, health and medical care, nutrition, housing, rehabilitation, education, welfare, child care, recreation, consumer protection and other essential civil needs; and
3) Take any other action, including through the seizure, use or possession of any real or personal property…”

The Oregon governor would be allowed to take part in “rationing, freezing, use of quotas, prohibition on shipments, price fixing, allocation…” She would also be allowed to “Prescribe and direct activities in connection with… supply of labor, utilization of industrial plants, health and medical care, nutrition, housing, rehabilitation, education, welfare, child care, recreation, consumer protection and other essential civil needs.” When it comes down to it, this bill would allow the Governor broad discretion in what to seize, when to seize it, and how to use it.

Governor Brown has continually declared a State of Emergency in order to justify her use of executive orders. In fact, she recently extended the State of Emergency again, through March of 2021. Governor Brown has also allegedly used mob-like strongarm tactics on businesses that don’t comply with her orders. Given this history, one finds it entirely possible for her to declare a state of emergency in order to take control of any private property she wishes. Potential targets could include hospitals, housing, non-compliant businesses, and perhaps even privately-owned firearms.

Washington, DC Under Lockdown, 25,000 Military Troops Deployed. Right-Wing Threat Debunked.

Downtown Washington, DC has been essentially turned into a military fortress with 25,000 military troops deployed to the area, carrying rifles without any ammo loaded. Mainstream media is cheering the occupation of the city while inflating and fabricating threats from the right. Last week, federal prosecutors claimed in court they believe that was the “intent” of “Capitol rioters” to kidnap and kill lawmakers, but the acting US attorney for the District of Columbia admitted hours later that “we don’t have any direct evidence” of a plot to assassinate lawmakers on January 6.

As Joe Biden is set to become our new president following the disputed election, new polls show that the overwhelming majority, as high as 73%, of Americans believe that our country is on the wrong track. Victor Davis Hanson said that the militarization of DC is welcomed by the left when only months ago they balked at the military trying to quell violence in the streets by Antifa and BLM. He said that the background checks by the FBI on the troops guarding the Capitol is for media consumption pushing a narrative that a vast right-wing conspiracy is trying to overthrow the government when there is no evidence insurrectionists in the ranks even exists.

Downtown Washington, DC is currently under what essentially amounts to military occupation. Streets are locked down, guarded by Army vehicles and blocked off by huge, garish checkpoints. Vehicular traffic is limited to motorists who can show papers demonstrating that, as one Guardsman told me, they are conducting “legitimate business.” (Apparently this includes Uber drivers and food delivery workers.) According to official estimates, 25,000 military personnel are now deployed to the area — on top of countless federal, state, and local law enforcement agents. Troops roam around carrying rifles with no ammo loaded. If you can manage to navigate on foot to the perimeter of the National Mall, you encounter an enormous fencing apparatus, complete with barbed wire.

Question: does anyone with a media job find this situation to be worthy of some further inquiry? Or in other words, worthy of questioning the premise of why such an extravagantly intensive military presence is allegedly necessary? Is it proportionate to the scale of the purported threat? Has the nature of the threat itself — whatever that might be, exactly — been adequately probed to determine whether it is grounded in reality? Already a bunch of purported threats initially trumpeted across the media with the usual five-alarm-five hysteria have dissipated in short order, so there is perhaps some reason for doubt in that regard.

California Halts Use of Moderna Covid Vaccine Batch Due to ‘Higher-Than-Usual Number of Adverse Events’

A vaccination super station in San Diego was the site of an “unusually high number” of adverse reactions from Moderna’s RNA vaccine, Lot 041L20A, leading to an order by California state epidemiologist Dr. Erica Pan and the California Department of Public Health to stop using that specific lot. San Diego County reported that allergic reactions were detected in six vaccine recipients. The center reportedly closed for several hours after the string of adverse reactions occurred, before switching to a different batch of the drug. The media discounts the risk of the experimental vaccine. Moderna confirmed that a total of 1,272,200 doses were produced in the batch, with nearly a million doses already distributed across the US. The lot was shipped between January 4th and January 8th, and thus it expects that a significant portion of the distributed doses have been already used.

Information from the vaccine injury reporting system of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) indicates the first dose alone of the experimental coronavirus vaccines is causing many times more adverse reactions than flu shots cause.

There were delays and some people were turned away at San Diego’s new “Vaccination Super Station” near PetCo Park on Wednesday after, in a short time period, six people had allergic reactions after receiving their experimental coronavirus vaccine shots.

In addition, the unused portion of the lot of the vaccine from which the shots came was pulled from distribution. That suggests thinking that there may be something particularly dangerous about that lot.

This gives a whole new meaning to “drawing lots.”

Watch and read here an NBC 7 report on the vaccination trouble.

In the video report from NBC 7, a woman who had an allergic reaction and a four-hour hospital stay after receiving the first shot of the two-shot vaccination regimen on Wednesday at the Vaccination Super Station is interviewed. She says she feels fatigued and sore. She also says she does not want to have a second shot even though she has taken other vaccines throughout her life, including a flu vaccine recently. “I can’t go through that again,” she states.

Who could blame her? Initial studies from drug companies that created the experimental coronavirus vaccines indicate side effects tend to be worse after the second shot.

Information from the vaccine injury reporting system of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) indicates the first dose alone of the experimental coronavirus vaccines is causing many times more adverse events than flu shots cause.

Interestingly, there seemed to have been some evasion when NBC 7 sought information about the delay at the Vaccination Super Station. Here is how that is described in the TV station’s written report:

Just after 11 a.m., NBC 7 confirmed that some people waiting for their vaccines at the site at Tailgate Park were experiencing delays. Others said they had been turned away.

NBC 7 reached out to those running the station; a representative said the delay was about an hour long due to logistical issues having to do with more doses of the vaccine arriving at the location.

During the county’s weekly COVID-19 briefing, Dr. Eric McDonald, Director of Epidemiology for the county, said vaccinations were slowed down after allergic reactions were detected in six vaccine recipients.

Fortunately, more of the story of the vaccination problem did come out. It makes one wonder how often similar problems are successfully hidden from media and the public.
