Democrats Now Want to Move from COVID Lockdowns to Climate Lockdowns

Marc Morano of Climate Depot says that Democrats are trying to use the COVID lockdown model as the climate emergency model. Senator Merkey of Oregon is urging Joe Biden, if he takes office, to declare a national climate state of emergency that would give him emergency powers that he could bypass legislatures the same way that Democrat governors have usurped power through COVID lockdowns. Morano says that, in 1988, the UN started its climate panel and created the myth of a global-warming problem caused by carbon dioxide, and they also, conveniently, are in charge of the solution. The UN data is based on models, speculation and so-called “expert” judgement. Meanwhile, geologists say we are currently in the 10% coldest time period of the Earth and, for 90% of the Earth’s history, there was no ice on either pole. There have been countless natural warming periods over eons of time. -GEG

Rand Paul Scolds Congress over $900-Billion COVID Stimulus

The new $900-billion, 5,593-page stimulus Covid-19 relief package was rammed through Congress on Monday, and both chambers passed it without a single member reading all of its contents. The pork-filled bill includes $600 for each adult and dependent in America. ‘Mixed-status’ households, where eligible citizens live with illegal immigrants, also will receive payments and can retroactively claim benefits after being left out of the last round. Unemployment benefits will be extended from 26 to 50 weeks. Examples of pork in the package include $325-billion for small businesses; $69-billion for vaccines, tests and tracing; $3.3-billion in grants to Israel; $1.3-billion to Egypt; $1.4-billion for an ‘Asian Reassurance Initiative Act’; $135-million to Burma; $130-million to Nepal; and $10-million to “gender programs” in Pakistan. President Trump sent the bill back to Congress saying he would veto it unless the stimulus checks are increased from $600 to $2,000, unless some (not all) of the pork is cut.

Senator Rand Paul urged Congress not to pass the “monstrous” bill because of the dire consequences to future generations. He said the government brought in $3.3-trillion last year but spent $6.6-trillion. The deficit under George Bush went from $5-trillion to $10-trillion; under Obama it went from $10 to $20-trillion; and it stands today at $27 trillion. Every tax-paying American now owes $136,000, with no end in sight. Heavy debt destroys economic growth. Bailouts perpetuate the COVID lockdowns that are killing the economy. -GEG

As Congress prepares to pass a $900 billion COVID-19 stimulus bill rolled into a consolidated appropriations package – with funding for assistance for households and businesses, along with vaccine distribution and other pandemic-related measures, the bill also includes a ton of pork per usual.

We already know about the $600 checks for each adult and dependent. This time, however, ‘mixed-status’ households where eligible citizens live with illegal immigrants, will not only receive payments – they can retroactively claim benefits after being left out of the last round.

And now, on to the pork… which includes billions to foreign countries, US military weapons purchases which go above and beyond their budgets, $40 million for the Kennedy Center, and nearly $200 million so that federal HIV/AIDS workers overseas can buy cars and car insurance, among other things.

More Evidence that Lockdowns Do Not Control Coronavirus

24 studies that show lockdowns failed to control the virus. These studies show that the shut downs were ineffective because of bad data, no correlations, no causal demonstration, anomalous exceptions, too many variables to measure, seasonality, and more. Many of the studies concluded that far more damage was caused by the lockdowns than any benefits they produced. -GEG

The use of universal lockdowns in the event of the appearance of a new pathogen has no precedent. It has been a science experiment in real time, with most of the human population used as lab rats. The costs are legion.

The question is whether lockdowns worked to control the virus in a way that is scientifically verifiable. Based on the following studies, the answer is no and for a variety of reasons: bad data, no correlations, no causal demonstration, anomalous exceptions, and so on. There is no relationship between lockdowns (or whatever else people want to call them to mask their true nature) and virus control.

Perhaps this is a shocking revelation, given that universal social and economic controls are becoming the new orthodoxy. In a saner world, the burden of proof really should belong to the lockdowners, since it is they who overthrew 100 years of public-health wisdom and replaced it with an untested, top-down imposition on freedom and human rights. They never accepted that burden. They took it as axiomatic that a virus could be intimidated and frightened by credentials, edicts, speeches, and masked gendarmes.

The pro-lockdown evidence is shockingly thin, and based largely on comparing real-world outcomes against dire computer-generated forecasts derived from empirically untested models, and then merely positing that stringencies and “nonpharmaceutical interventions” account for the difference between the fictionalized vs. the real outcome. The anti-lockdown studies, on the other hand, are evidence-based, robust, and thorough, grappling with the data we have (with all its flaws) and looking at the results in light of controls on the population.

Much of the following list has been put together by data engineer Ivor Cummins, who has waged a year-long educational effort to upend intellectual support for lockdowns. AIER has added its own and the summaries. The upshot is that the virus is going to do as viruses do, same as always in the history of infectious disease. We have extremely limited control over them, and that which we do have is bound up with time and place. Fear, panic, and coercion are not ideal strategies for managing viruses. Intelligence and medical therapeutics fare much better.

(These studies are focused only on lockdown and their relationship to virus control. They do not get into the myriad associated issues that have vexed the world such as mask mandates, PCR-testing issues, death misclassification problem, or any particular issues associated with travel restrictions, restaurant closures, and hundreds of other particulars about which whole libraries will be written in the future.)

2. “Was Germany’s Corona Lockdown Necessary?” by Christof Kuhbandner, Stefan Homburg, Harald Walach, Stefan Hockertz. Advance: Sage Preprint, June 23, 2020. “Official data from Germany’s RKI agency suggest strongly that the spread of the coronavirus in Germany receded autonomously, before any interventions became effective. Several reasons for such an autonomous decline have been suggested. One is that differences in host susceptibility and behavior can result in herd immunity at a relatively low prevalence level. Accounting for individual variation in susceptibility or exposure to the coronavirus yields a maximum of 17% to 20% of the population that needs to be infected to reach herd immunity, an estimate that is empirically supported by the cohort of the Diamond Princess cruise ship. Another reason is that seasonality may also play an important role in dissipation.”

Wisconsin Judge Says ‘Our Court System Has Been Deeply Intimidated by the Left’

James Troupis, a former Wisconsn state judge, who is now representing the Trump campaign in litigation in that state, testified before Congress that high-pressure intimidation tactics by the radical left has prevented both lawyers and judges in the court system from accepting and hearing election-fraud cases. He said that major law firms across the country refused to help Trump in his election-fraud cases, not because of lack of merit, but because of fear of retribution from the Democrat party, their current clients, or the Joe Biden and Kamala Harris administration. -GEG

A former Wisconsin state judge, who is now representing the Trump campaign in litigation in that state, testified before Congress that justice is not being served because of high-pressure intimidation tactics at the hands of the radical ideological Left.

James Troupis said he believes intimidation applied by the radical Left has prevented lawyers and judges from accepting and hearing election fraud cases.

“We have to acknowledge that the court system has been deeply intimidated by the left, just as the lawyers have been intimidated,” Troupis told the Senate Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committee Wednesday. “And that’s a sad, sad state of affairs.”

Troupis was just one of the witnesses who appeared before the committee to testify on irregularities and fraud they witnessed in several locations during the November 3, 2020, General Election.

Dr. Birx Warned Americans Not to Travel For Thanksgiving, But She Traveled For Thanksgiving

White House coronavirus coordinator, Dr. Deborah Birx, traveled to meet family at her vacation home on Fenwick Island in Delaware during Thanksgiving after warning Americans to avoid doing the same. Birx claimed the family members were all part of her “immediate household,” but that is ot true. All of those family members who gathered together do not live in the same home. Speaking of Thanksgiving travel, the doctor previously urged Americans to “take it upon yourself to be restrictive” and not meet with people outside one household. Birx’s own relative Kathleen Flynn told the AP that her behavior had caused tension within the family, because she clearly had violated her own guidance.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom similarly was caught for his attending a dinner party at an upscale French restaurant on Nov. 6. San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo was caught attending Thanksgiving at his parent’s house. [Any questions?] -GEG

White House coronavirus response Dr. Deborah Birx traveled to meet family during Thanksgiving after warning Americans to avoid doing the same in yet another example of rampant COVID hypocrisy.

According to an Associated Press report, Birx traveled to her vacation home on Fenwick Island in Delaware the day after Thanksgiving to gather with her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren.

Birx claimed the family members were all part of her “immediate household,” but all of those family members do not live in the same home.

The doctor had previously urged Americans to “take it upon yourself to be restrictive” when it came to Thanksgiving travel and not meet with people from outside one household.

Pennsylvania Health Department Issues Recommendations for COVID Safety at Sex Orgies

The Pennsylvania Department of Health, led by Dr. Rachel Levine, a pediatrician, posted tips about attending a large gathering “where you might end up having sex,” which is known as an orgy, explaining how to reduce risk of getting or spreading COVID-19 through sex by limiting the number of sex partners, wearing a mask, and washing hands.

[If the chief medical officer for the state of Pennsylvania gives advice on how to safely participate in sex orgies, it speaks volumes on how little reason there is to respect his/her advice on health or anything else. It also tells us a bit about the qualifications for receiving such an important government appointment. It makes one wonder if Pennsylvanian voters might be interested in knowing who hired this person.] -GEG

The Pennsylvania Department of Health led by Dr. Rachel Levine issued new rules for large gatherings “where you might end up having sex.”   These large gatherings “where you might end up having sex” are also commonly referred to as orgies.

From the Pennsylvania Department of Health:

Large gatherings are not safe during COVID19, but if you attend a large gathering where you might end up having sex, below are tips to reduce your risk of spreading or getting COVID-19 through sex:

  • Limit the number of partners.
  • Try to identify a consistent sex partner.
  • Wear a face covering, avoid kissing, and do not touch your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water often, and especially before and after sex.  If soap and water are not available use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  • If you usually meet your sex partners online, consider taking a break from in-person dates. Video dates, sexting, subscription-based fan platforms, or chat rooms may be options for you.

3. Protect yourself and your partners from COVID-19 during sex.

  • Avoid kissing. Kissing can easily pass the virus.
  • Wear a face covering or mask.
During COVID-19, wearing a face covering that covers your nose and mouth is a good way to add a layer of protection during sex with those outside your household.
