BLM/Antifa Rioter Shoots at Driver Trying To Escape Protester’s Barricade

Utah: Jesse Taggart, 33, was booked into the Utah County Jail on multiple charges, including attempted aggravated murder and aggravated assault after he allegedly fired a pistol into an SUV attempting to escape a mob blocking the road during a BLM protest. Samantha Darling, 27, was also arrested on charges of obstruction of justice and rioting. The 60-year old driver underwent surgery for non-life threatening injuries. BLM and Antifa have been targeting motor vehicles more in recent weeks as inner cities begin to push back against their violence. [This has nothing to do with race or George Floyd.]

Police said two people have been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred in Provo during Monday night’s protests.

Jesse Taggart, 33, of Salt Lake City, and 27-year-old Samantha Darling, of Ogden, were arrested Tuesday, according to officials with the Provo Police Department.

Sgt. Nisha King with the Provo Police Department said Taggart was booked into the Utah County Jail on multiple charges, including attempted aggravated murder, aggravated assault, rioting, firing a weapon near a highway and criminal mischief.

Darling was booked on charges of obstruction of justice and rioting.

Soros-Funded Prosecutor Goes After St. Louis Man for Defending His Home

St. Louis, Missouri: The McCloskys, both attorneys, guarded their lives and their home in self defense with an AR-15 and a handgun Sunday after Antifa and Black Lives Matter broke down their gate and threatened to swarm into their home. Prosecutor Kim Gardner is a far-left radical who was elected to Circuit Attorney General with the help of funding from George Soros. Gardner said, “I am alarmed at the events that occurred over the weekend, where peaceful protesters were met by guns.” In 2019, Gardner brought criminal charges against only 23% of cases that the police brought to her office. The turnover for state prosecutors has surpassed 100% since Gardner was elected.

Black Lives Matter Protester Hit By Iowa Governor’s Car When He Tried to Block It

Kim Reynolds, the Republican Governor of Iowa, gave a press conference on private property. When her car was leaving, her driver hit a Black Lives Matter organizer, Jaylen Cavil, as he stood in front of the vehicle, trying to block it. Cavil said he was not hurt. Black Lives Matter protesters demanded that the Governor immediately sign an executive order restoring voting rights to those with felony convictions who have completed their sentences. Reynolds said she will sign the order but not immediately. -GEG

A Black Lives Matter protester who tried to block a vehicle carrying Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds (R) by standing in front of it Tuesday said he was was shocked when Reynolds’ driver hit the gas instead of the brake and drove right through him. The protester, Jaylen Cavil, said he was “physically okay” after failing to block the governor.

The Des Moines Register reported on the incident (excerpt):

…A group of about two dozen Des Moines Black Lives Matter activists showed up to Reynolds’ public events in Steamboat Rock and Ackley, each about 90 miles from Des Moines, on Tuesday to urge her to immediately sign an executive order restoring voting rights to people with felony convictions who have completed their sentences. Reynolds has said she will sign the order but not immediately.

The activists were not allowed into Reynolds’ events, which were held on private property, so a group of them stood in the driveway of Family Traditions Meat in Ackley to block Reynolds from driving away.

Jaylen Cavil, an organizer with Des Moines Black Lives Matter, said he was standing in the driveway hoping that Reynolds would roll down the window of the vehicle and speak to them.

“The SUV that Gov. Reynolds was driving in drove right up to me. I was standing right in front of the car and I just stood there. I was like, ‘I’m going to stand here. Surely the driver of the governor is not going to hit me with her car. This is the governor, my governor, who’s supposed to be representing me. I’m sure that her car is not going to intentionally hit me.’ I was wrong,” he said.

Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan Dismantles CHOP, then 300 Protesters Show Up at Her Home

Last week, Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan said the CHOP police-free zone would end and police would return to the occupied East Precinct that was abandoned on her orders. Leftists responded by protesting at her home on Sunday, causing the Mayor to lash out in anger, fearing for the safety of her family. Mayor Durkan and her family are in the state program to keep their address confidential because of the death threats mostly related to her work as Seattle’s US Attorney under President Obama. City Council member Kshama Sawant, a committed socialist/communist, joined the protest mob and called for Durkan’s removal. City workers have begun removing the barriers from the CHOP squatters’ camp. On Monday, a shooting inside CHOP resulted in the death of the 16-year old and serious injury to a 14-year old male. This was the second murder since CHOP was established. -GEG

Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan expressed outrage after Black Lives Matter protesters showed up at her home Sunday afternoon, despite her previous support and defense of the “CHOP” encampment.

Protesters targeted her home after Durkan announced last week that the city would no longer support the Capitol Hill Organized Protest encampment and would seek to remove the concrete barriers that helped define the autonomous zone. But the CHOP remains intact.

Durkan released a statement expressing her anger at the protest. She was especially upset that Seattle City Council member Kshama Sawant had joined the protesters at her home.

“Mayor Durkan and her family are in the state program to keep their address confidential because of the death threats mostly related to her work as Seattle’s U.S. Attorney under President Obama. Instead of working to make true change, Councilmember Sawant continues to choose political stunts,” read the statement from her office.

Shooting at CHOP Leaves a 16-Year Old Dead and a 14-Year-Old in Critical Condition

There was another shooting in the CHAZ/CHOP “autonomous zone” of Seattle at 3 AM on Monday morning. It is the fifth shooting since rioters took over the area. Two young black males were shot. One is dead and the other is in critical condition. At present, there is no information on who did the shooting and what the motive was. -GEG

As previously reported, there was another shooting in the CHAZ/CHOP “autonomous zone” of Seattle around 3 a.m. on Monday morning — this is the fifth one since rioters took over the area.

Early this morning it was reported that two people were shot, one to the head.

A person who was on the scene tweeted that “2 gunmen in the SUV shot multiple times each after driving into #CHAZ past barricades. Both critical. 2 chop vehicles transported 1 each to ER. I assisted w & rode w 1st victim 2 harborview ED.”

At least one of the victims was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle by the time police arrived.

The Seattle Police Chief confirmed later Monday morning that both victims of the shooting in CHAZ/CHOP were black males.

One black male is dead and the other is fighting for his life.

Update: Both victims are underage teen males.

This is the second murder in CHAZ/CHOP in the last week.

The Mayor of Seattle should be charged with murder for allowing Black Lives Matter militants and Antifa domestic terrorists to set up an “autonomous zone.”

NY Mayor Bill De Blasio Will Cut Police Budget by $1-Billion

The New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio shifted $1-billion from the budget of the New York City Police Department (NYPD) to programs that assist in youth and community development, despite a surge in shootings in the wake of protests and violent unrest sparked by the death of George Floyd. The City Council said in a statement that the city’s 2021 budget will include $837 million in cuts and transfers to the New York Police Department (NYPD) expense budget, which removes $1 billion from the NYPD’s spending when combined with associated costs.New York City Council Minority Whip Joseph Borelli voted no against the budget cuts and said, “know what we’re doing will create a more violent city.”

New York City lawmakers voted Tuesday on budget changes that shifted $1 billion from the New York Police Department to programs that assist in youth and community development, a number that fell short of what many protesters in the city have demanded.

The City Council said in a statement that the city’s 2021 budget will include $837 million in cuts and transfers to the New York Police Department (NYPD) expense budget, which removes $1 billion from the NYPD’s spending when combined with associated costs.

The amount was far less than what some protesters demanded. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., said earlier that $1.5 billion in cuts would not be enough.

“Defunding police means defunding police. It does not mean budget tricks or funny math,” she said. One Twitter user wrote, “This is like putting the NYPD budget in Groucho Marx glasses and calling it a day.”

Corey Johnson, the city council speaker, said, “The Council fought hard to get where we are, but I know this is just a starting point, not an ending point. We need to go farther.”

He added the budget agreement “was negotiated with a focus on police reform, youth services, and achieving equity, particularly for low-income communities of color.”

New York City Council Minority Whip Joseph Borelli voted no against the budget cuts and said, “know what we’re doing will create a more violent city.”

Borelli added that there were “72 shootings last week alone, and not one shot by [a] NYPD officer.”

“We must always have safety and we will in this city, but we are also going to amplify both safety and fairness by reaching our young people more deeply than ever before,” Mayor Bill de Blasio said speaking from a press conference Tuesday. “And that’s what this budget is all about.”

Many demonstrators feel the budget changes weren’t enough, and some plan on staying camped outside City Hall indefinitely.

“We are being gaslit,” said activist Jawanza James Williams. “This movement is about so much more than the $1 billion, and this means they don’t understand what we’re saying.”

City lawmakers agreed to shift the funds away from the NYPD, but police reform activists are worried these funds will be moved around in a manner that still benefits the police department.

“To the thousands of New Yorkers who so admirably fought for budget justice over the past several weeks: we heard you and we stand with you,” Johnson said Tuesday. “We recognize that the City must move away from failed racist policing policies of the past.”
