Fewer than 2-in-15 American Voters Are Aware of the Mass Immigration Crisis at the Border

Less than 2-in-15 American voters are aware of the mass migration pushing at the US-Mexico border, with 250,000 to 500,000 border apprehensions each year. Based on data so far this year, experts predict that there will be 863,000 border apprehensions this Fiscal Year, though this only counts illegal aliens who are caught at the border and does not include those who successfully cross. Every year, the US admits about 1.2 million mostly low-skilled legal immigrants to compete against working and middle class Americans for jobs.

Less than two-in-15 American voters are aware of the soaring levels
of illegal immigration across the United States-Mexico border, a new
survey finds.

The latest Harvard/Harris Poll reveals that when Americans are asked
how many illegal aliens are arriving at the U.S.-Mexico border, only
about 13 percent answer correctly. Meanwhile, about 76 percent of
Americans believe illegal immigration levels are vastly lower than they
actually are.

For example, there were nearly 100,000 border apprehensions in April, alone. This puts illegal immigration at the southern border on track to outpace every year
of illegal immigration under former President Obama and take the U.S.
back to Bush era levels. At current rates, experts project there to be
863,000 border apprehensions this Fiscal Year, though this only counts
illegal aliens who are caught at the border and does not include those
who successfully cross.

Since Fiscal Year 2010, the number of border crossers and illegal
aliens apprehended trying to enter the U.S. has been anywhere between
300,000 to 500,000.

In the Harvard/Harris Poll, though, less than two-in-15 American
voters correctly said there are between 250,000 to 500,000 border
apprehensions each year. Meanwhile, more than three-in-four Americans
incorrectly said there are between zero to 250,000 border apprehensions a
year.

Even among Republican voters, conservatives, and Trump supporters, a
plurality of 35 percent incorrectly estimated that there are only 10,000
to 100,000 border apprehensions each year.

US: In Three States, Federal Courts Struck Down Laws Suppressing Boycotts of Israeli Products

US District Judge Robert Pitman, an appointee of Barack Obama, ruled against a law in Texas that would prevent the state from doing business with companies that supported the boycott of goods from Israel. The court ruled that such a law violates freedom of speech and threatens to “manipulate the public debate through coercion rather than persuasion.” More than half of US states have such laws on the books. Federal courts have struck down similar anti-boycott laws in Kansas and Arizona. The ACLU says the three courts protected the right to boycott under the First Amendment. -GEG

In 2017, Texas became one of more than two dozen states to pass a law or have taken some sort of executive action explicitly targeting
the pro-Palestinian boycott, divestment, and sanctions movement. The
Texas statute barred the state from doing business with companies
involved in the movement. The free speech concerns here are rather
obvious, and on Thursday night, a federal judge ruled against the law.

U.S. District Judge for the Western District of Texas Robert Pitman, an appointee of Barack Obama, delivered an injunction to the Texas law
on Thursday night. The lead plaintiff, Bahia Amawi, is an Austrian-born
American citizen and speech pathologist with family members in
Palestine. Due to her support of BDS, Amawi had refused to sign a
contract with a local school district for whom she had worked for nearly
a decade which explicitly said she wouldn’t boycott Israel, and thus
was forced to end her relationship with the school district.

In
his opinion, Pitman directly took on the fact that just five lawmakers
in the entire Texas legislature voted against the bill. “Texas touts
these numbers as the statute’s strength,” Pitman wrote, in finding that
the law violates the First Amendment. “They are, rather, its weakness.”
Later, he wrote that “the statute threatens ‘to suppress unpopular
ideas’ and ‘manipulate the public debate through coercion rather than
persuasion.’ This the First Amendment does not allow.”

University of Colorado: Christian Student Group Wins Lawsuit Allowing Them to Choose Their Own Club Leaders

Ratio Christi, a Christian group that aims to strengthen Christianity and discourse on campus, won their lawsuit against the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (UCCS), forcing the school to recognize the group as an official student organization. The original legal complaint against the university claimed that administrators told students that they could not require their group leader to be a Christian who shares their mission, violating students’ rights to free association.

The University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (UCCS) has settled a
lawsuit with a Christian student group which forces the university to
recognize the group as an official student organization.

Breitbart News reported
in February that a Christian student group at UCCS had filed a lawsuit
against their university over its refusal to recognize them as an
official student organization. This week, UCCS settled with the Ratio
Christi student group.

The original legal complaint against the university claimed that
administrators told students that they could not require their group
leader to be a Christian. “It has refused to do so specifically because
this religious organization seeks to ensure that its leaders share its
beliefs and that its members support its mission, even though other
student organizations do the same,” the complaint read.

According to a report
from The College Fix, Ratio Christi settled with UCCS. As a result of
the settlement, the University of Colorado will be forced to recognize
the group as an official student organization. Additionally, the
students will now be permitted to choose their own leaders.

New Mexico: Democrat Governor Removed the National Guard from the Border and Then Put the Flood of Illegal Migrants on Buses to Denver

Earlier this year, New Mexico Democrat Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham withdrew 118 National Guard troops form New Mexico’s border with Mexico, while castigating Trump for “fear mongering” over mass immigration. But the deluge of migrants was too much for New Mexico to handle, so Grisham now is transporting the illegal migrants by bus to Denver, Colorado. Her office paid $4,000 for a bus to transport 55 Central American asylum seekers to Denver at a cost to New Mexico taxpayers of $73 per passenger. The cost to Colorado taxpayers is unknown but just begun. -GEG

Earlier this year, far left New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham withdrew 118 National Guard troops from New Mexico’s southern boundary with Mexico.

Governor Grisham called President Trump’s policies a “charade of border fear-mongering.”

Now the New Mexico border is being overrun by the drug
cartels following the governor’s brilliant plan to remove troops from
its southern border.

A local sheriff said he saw $60,000 in deadly drug shipments in April, up from $3,500 in January.

Now this…

The flood of illegals is too much for New Mexico to handle so now
the liberal Democrat governor is busing the illegals to Denver.

Via The Denver Post:

The New Mexico governor’s office paid about $4,000 for a bus to transport 55 Central American asylum seekers to Denver early Sunday morning in an arrangement negotiated between nonprofits in both communities, a spokeswoman confirmed on Tuesday.
