[Which is strange reasoning as the main purpose of putting the drug kingpins out of business is to reduce homicide rates caused by those kingpins.]
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says the Trump administration is pulling the plug on the Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces Treaty with Russia, claiming that Moscow “shamelessly” violated the 1987 agreement. Russia says the US invented that fiction so it could have an excuse to clear the way to develop new missiles.
The Washington Post was aware for more than a year of Vanessa Tyson’s claim of sexual assault against Virginia’s Lt. Governor Justin Fairfax, a Democrat who is next in line to become Governor if Ralph Northam steps down. The paper, however, declined to publish the story, claiming it could not be corroborated.
The Democrats are not likely to give up the office of governor. But it’s entertaining to see how how many politicians have skeletons in their closets. Some of us even suspect that this is a requirement for being endorsed by a major party because those skeletons can be useful for controlling the office holders.
