DNC Chief Admits She Does Not Know How to Pay for ‘Medicare for All’ Estimated to Cost $3 Trillion Per Year

The CEO of the Democratic National Committee admitted that she does not know how to pay for the socialized medicine scheme, known as ‘Medicare for All’, which is estimated to cost $32 to $39 trillion!  Seema Nanda, the head of the DNC, was asked how she would pay $3 trillion per year for the single-payer socialized medicine program, and would she double and triple taxes on Americans.  She complained about the Republican tax cuts and then said “So, you know, your answer is I don’t know how we’re going to get there, but these are all big conversations that we need to be engaged in.”

Democratic National Committee (DNC) chief executive officer Seema Nanda admitted on Tuesday she does not know how to pay for the socialized medicine scheme known as Medicare for All, estimates of which are somewhere between $32 and $38 trillion.

Nanda, during Yahoo Finance’s “All Markets Summit: America’s Financial Future” event in Washington, DC, on Tuesday, admitted she does not know how to pay for Medicare for All despite a significant plurality of Democrats backing the single-payer plan.

The interviewer asked:

It would be very expensive, so, if this is going to be a winning issue for Democrats in 2020, how do you answer the question of how are you going to pay for this? Because there have been studies, credible studies that say it would cost three trillion dollars a year, you would have to double everybody’s taxes or maybe triple everybody’s taxes. How do you answer the cost question?

“I don’t think we’re there yet,” Nanda admitted.

The DNC chief then pivoted to attacking Republicans over their tax cut legislation, suggesting they planned to cut spending for Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security.

“So, you know, your answer is I don’t know how we’re going to get there, but these are all big conversations that we need to be engaged in,” Nanda added.

Nanda’s admission that she does not know how to pay for Medicare for All raises questions for House Democrats as they just regained power in the House Representatives, and some progressives will push for the socialized medicine scheme in the new congressional term.

GOP Lawmakers Betray Voters and Choose RINO Kevin McCarthy as House Minority Leader over Jim Jordan

The GOP establishment RINOs (Republicans in Name Only), including Paul Ryan, voted in Kevin McCarthy as House Minority Leader, while rejecting Jim Jordan of the Freedom Caucus and a favorite with Trump supporters.  Dick Cheney’s daughter, Liz, was chosen to be GOP conference Chairwoman.  The Never Trumpers and GOP elite are still wielding power in Congress.

The GOP elite shunned voters Wednesday and chose Kevin McCarthy as House Minority Leader over conservative favorite Jim Jordan.

McCarthy had the backing of the GOP elite and outgoing RINO House Speaker Paul Ryan.

Jim Jordan had the backing of his fellow members and Trump supporters in the Freedom Caucus.

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) was chosen to be GOP conference Chairwoman.

Fox News reported:

Rep. Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., beat back a challenge from dark horse candidate, Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, on Wednesday for the role of House minority leader, with Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., nabbing the title of GOP conference chairman.

During a closed-door session with House Republicans, the California lawmaker took a decisive victory against Jordan, bringing in 159 votes to the Ohio representative’s 43 votes.

McCarthy was initially elected to the House in 2006 and has served as the House majority leader since 2014. Jordan is a prominent member of the House Freedom Caucus and an ally of President Trump.

CNN’s Jim Acosta’s Lawsuit Against Trump Alleges Violation of Free Speech, But Hypocrites at CNN Led a Censorship Campaign

CNN reporter Jim Acosta was rude and disruptive when he took over President Trump’s optional press conference and refused to give up the microphone, violating White House protocol.  This led Trump to remove Acosta’s press pass to the White House.  Acosta filed a lawsuit alleging his right to free speech under the First Amendment and right to due process had been violated.  Press conferences with the president are not guaranteed by the Constitution. Tucker Carlson pointed out the irony of CNN claiming a violation against free speech as the network led the campaign to silence Alex Jones on the internet.  CNN has argued that others should lose their voices, and characterized Alex Jones as a “conspiracy theorist”, but CNN has promulgated numerous conspiracy theories that include reporting with a 93% negative bias against Trump, calling him a Russian asset, accusing him of radicalizing more people than ISIS, invoking the Holocaust, claiming Scaramucci was involved with a Russian hedge fund, reporting that Don Trump Jr. had access to WikiLeaks and more false stories.  If free speech is denied to some, but granted to others, free speech does not exist. Free speech must apply all people.

Why Some Scientists Say Global Warming Is Out and Global Cooling Is In

A number of scientists are skeptical about global warming and make a case for global cooling instead, based on solar activity.  Valentina Zharkova, an astrophysicist, says that her climate models, based on the sun’s decreasing magnetic activity, show the Earth will experience a cooling effect over a 33-year period beginning in 2021.  If her model proves to be correct, and the cooling is not mitigated by the current level of CO2, the global warming case will be shown to be wrong and will expose the flawed science behind it.  In addition, the restrictions and punishments against carbon emitters imposed by the United Nations and the Democratic Party will be threatened.

In a world riddled with climate-change doomsday predictions, a small but growing number of scientists are saying the highly touted climate models predicting steadily increasing global temperature due to humans’ carbon-dioxide emissions are wrong and that Earth could soon face something even more dire: global cooling.

One such climate scientist is Valentina Zharkova, an astrophysicist at Northumbria University in the United Kingdom. Zharkova and her team of researchers say that based on mathematical models of the Sun’s magnetic activity, it’s likely Earth will experience decreasing magnetic waves over a 33-year period beginning in 2021.

Zharkova is not alone. In 2017, researchers at the Physical Meteorological Observatory Davos, the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology, ETH Zurich, and the University of Bern published a model projecting a cooling period “in 50 to 100 years’ time.” Numerous other studies have made similar projections. Indeed, the website NoTricksZone lists hundreds of peer-reviewed papers that argue solar activity and solar cycles have a substantial influence on global climate change on decadal, century-long, and millennial time scales. Some of these papers even argue that solar activity is often the dominant factor driving climate change.

The researchers say reduced solar magnetic activity has previously been linked to historically cool periods in Earth’s history, such as the Maunder Minimum, a period of lower magnetic activity associated with a “mini ice age” that occurred from 1645 to 1715. During the Maunder Minimum, temperatures plummeted to such an extreme degree that Londoners held “frost fairs” on the frozen Thames River.

Writing for the New York Times, historian Geoffrey Parker notes, “The unusual cold that lasted from the 1620s until the 1690s included ice on both the Bosporus and the Baltic so thick that people could walk from one side to the other.”

Although Zharkova says her model’s accuracy is 97 percent, she’s not sure precisely how impactful lower solar magnetic activity will be, especially because it is believed there is a lot more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere today than in the seventeenth century, and many climate scientists believe higher CO2 levels cause additional warming.

Many of those convinced that humans are responsible for the higher global temperatures recorded over the past century have already started to dismiss Zharkova and others who say global temperature could soon level off because of solar activity. Michael Mann, a professor at Pennsylvania State University who created the controversial “hockey stick graph,” told the Washington Post in 2015 the effect of lower solar activity would be “a drop in the bucket” compared to the effects of carbon dioxide.

If Mann and others who believe that humans’ carbon-dioxide emissions are driving climate change are wrong and lower solar activity occurs and has a cooling effect on the climate, the results could prove disastrous for climate-change crusaders in the Democratic Party, United Nations, and elsewhere who desperately want to impose restrictions, punishments, or both on carbon-dioxide emitters — which, it’s worth remembering, includes everyone in the world, including you. Not only would a cooling effect completely undermine virtually every single climate model predicting steady warming over the next century, it would highlight just how flawed mainstream climate science has become. After all, if climate alarmists can’t accurately predict a 33-year cooling period based on solar activity, why should we trust them to predict global temperature 100 years in the future?

Matt Caldwell Won and then Lost His Election Due to a ‘Mathematical Impossibility’ as Broward County Magically Produced 80,000 Votes

Broward County has produced an additional 83,000 ballots post-election and it is refusing to reveal how many votes they have yet to count.  Republican Matt Caldwell won his election for the state Agricultural Commissioner on Election Day as he was up by 40,000 votes.   Based on what was reported, there were only 30,000 votes that could possibly still come in from Broward, so his campaign declared victory and went to bed.  However, over the next four days, Broward County magically found 80,000 votes which gives his opponent a strong lead.  Broward officials refuse to answer where the votes came from, where they were cast, when they were cast (before the 7 pm deadline?), and why weren’t they tabulated.  Matt has a lawsuit against the Broward County Department of Elections, but it is unlikely his lawsuit will change the results of this election.

The race for Florida Agricultural Commissioner is currently undergoing a manual recount.

Last Tuesday, Republican state Rep. Matt Caldwell was deemed the winner and claimed victory at an election watch party in North Fort Myers. But the vote differential between Caldwell and Democrat Nicole “Nikki” Fried was so small, at just 0.16 percent, that the race went to an automatic recount.

The Miami Herald reported that at least 113,600 votes will be counted by hand for the race. Caldwell has filed a lawsuit against the Broward County Supervisor of Elections, Brenda Snipes. He joined Sundial to talk about the lawsuit and what he hopes it will accomplish.

WLRN: What is the lawsuit specifically?

CALDWELL: The first step is just to get basic answers. Any supervisor in the state is able to tell you what kind of votes they had cast — whether it is vote by-mail, early votes or Election Day votes — and when those were tagged into the system in order to prove … that they were cast before 7:00 on Tuesday night. And the Broward supervisor has been unable to answer that question. On Wednesday we asked, Thursday we asked, and Friday we asked … so we ultimately filed a lawsuit just to produce all the records to see what that situation is.

How do you verify whether or not those were received on time or simply backlogged by the supervisor?

It depends on the kind of vote. Early voting ends on Sunday, so that’s the easiest one to see. There’s a situation here because two days later or 48 hours later [Snipes is] still not able to produce the results of the early vote. That raises some really interesting questions.

Your lawsuit references absentee ballots specifically.

Absentee ballots are another question. They are supposed to timestamp those to be able to demonstrate that they received them before 7:00. That’s going to require you oftentimes to keep the envelope and the ballot so that you can prove it. It’s really a pretty basic question.
