FBI Official Peter Strzok Denied Obvious Bias Against Trump in Marathon Testimony

FBI official Peter Strzok, who led the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email server and also led the Mueller Russia investigation, was the subject of a marathon hearing lasting 10 hours.  He had a long-term extramarital affair with FBI lawyer Lisa Page and wrote numerous texts revealing bias and animosity against Trump.  Trey Gowdy pointed out that Strzok’s texts about impeaching Trump were predetermining an outcome.

Wall Street Journal reporter Kimberly Strassel said that Strzok was making many of the daily decisions on the Mueller investigation, despite his bias.  Strzok’s testimony has raised new questions about how many versions of the dirty dossier exist and whether he was contacting Fusion GPS directly.  Strzok admitted that Bruce Ohr, a high-level DOJ official, married to Nellie Ohr who worked for Fusion GPS, served as a conduit between Fusion GPS, an opposition research firm, and the FBI.  Fusion GPS had been hired and paid by the Hillary Clinton campaign.
