SCOTUS Nominee Brett Kavanaugh: Swamp Monster Or Tough-on-Immigration Conservative?

Brettt Kavanaugh, a 53 year old Catholic, has major ties to the swamp. He served as the staff secretary under George W. Bush, he led the investigation into the suspicious suicide of Bill Clinton’s Deputy White House Counsel Vince Foster and assisted in Kenneth Starr’s 1998 report outlining the case for Clinton’s impeachment. Judge Napolitano says Kavanaugh is part of the swamp. Ann Coulter, author of Adios, America!, a book on immigration, favors Kavanaugh as the other candidates were pro-open borders.

Ann Coulter unloaded on Judge Raymond Kethledge, one of the judges President Donald Trump interviewed to potentially replace Justice Anthony Kennedy on the Supreme Court, on Twitter Wednesday.

“Hardiman & Kethledge are open borders zealots,” the New York Times best-selling author and populist conservative columnist said in the most explosive of her tweets:

Later, when challenged on her assertion, Coulter expounded on how she reached her conclusion, citing several opinions in which Judge Kethledge favored expanding the legal options available to illegal aliens facing deportation:

In 2013’s Patel, Kethledge wrote an opinion that expressly rejected the government’s contention that an American immigration law’s purpose is to protect American workers and benefit American businesses. “One can speculate that Congress meant to exclude certain aliens to protect American workers, and admit other, ‘qualified’ aliens to help American employers,” Kethledge wrote. “But there is no basis in the text of the statute—none—to conclude that Congress was completely indifferent to the interests of the ‘qualified immigrants’ themselves.”

In 2009’s Nguyen, Kethledge joined an opinion by Jimmy Carter-appointee Gilbert Merritt holding that grand theft auto did not qualify as an “aggravated felony” mandating deportation.

The tweets followed one in which she chastised those on the right pushing for Kethledge, a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, as repeating the mistakes of the past that led to Republican administrations nominating judges, such as Justice David Souter, who became massive disappointments to conservatives:

The rebukes comes as right-leaning outlets like the Daily Caller report on a number of sources close to the selection process who are aggressively advocating picking Kethledge and citing a very positive interview with the president. Sources within the conservative legal community with whom Breitbart News discussed the matter expressed their own misgivings over Kethledge’s judicial philosophy.

Coulter, a University of Michigan Law School grad, threw her weight behind Judge Brett Kavanaugh of the D.C. Circuit, comparing his record on immigration, the issue on which Coulter most closely focuses, to the other reported candidates. She also pointed to Kavanaugh’s strength on the Second Amendment:

Kavanaugh wrote a widely-cited pro-gun rights dissent in the first major appellate Second Amendment case after the landmark 2009 District of Columbia v. Heller Supreme Court decision in which, much like Justice Antonin Scalia, he extensively relied on the original public meaning of the “right of the people to keep and bear arms.”

Much of the coverage of Kavanaugh in the left-leaning media has focused on his connection to George W. Bush, in whose administration Kavanaugh served in the White House Counsel’s Office and who appointed Kavanaugh to the federal bench. Coulter saw this as a campaign of manipulation on the media’s part to turn Trump, who has had a sometimes contentious relationship with Bush administration veterans, against Kavanaugh:

Judge Amy Coney Barrett, who has emerged as a conservative favorite in the nomination process, was also featured in Coulter’s analysis. Coulter did not explicitly attack Barrett, but explained her preference for Kavanugh by pointing to Barrett’s relative lack of experience. Barrett has only been a judge for seven months and has never ruled on a wide variety of issues. Coulter saw her as a potential “blank slate” and warned against nominating anyone on the basis of being a woman:

Sweden: Whistleblower Sued by Employer, Fined $54,000 for Revealing Most “Child” Migrants Are Adults

Sweden: Bernt Herlitz, a dental hygienist, was fired from his job when he blew the whistle in 2016 on “child” refugees entering his country, who were really adults posing as children to get welfare and benefits. He noticed that in 80% of the cases, the “children” had wisdom teeth, indicating they were over 18 years of age. He was fired from his job for violating medical confidentiality. He sued his employer, the county of Gotland, and won damages, but it was appealed and he was fined $54,000.

A Swedish dentist who was ruined after being fired and fined for revealing that over 80 percent of his refugee ‘children’ patients were actually adults, told RT that people coming to his country should not lie about their age.

The story of Bernt Herlitz, a dental hygienist from the Swedish island of Gotland, came under the spotlight in 2016 when he revealed an unpleasant truth. Herlitz was analyzing the teeth of “unaccompanied” minor migrants who started to arrive in the Scandinavian country as the worst refugee crisis since WWII struck Europe. It turned out that wisdom teeth of the ‘children’ were fully grown in 80 percent of cases, a sign clearly showing that Herlitz’ patients were far from being underage.

“If you have an X-ray you can easily see that the person is over or under 18 years old. About 80 percent were grown-ups,” he said, speaking to RT.

Herlitz shared his concerns with an immigration officer who advised him to file a report about his findings. Yet the reaction from his employers was not so bright – they fired him, arguing he’d violated medical confidentiality.

“I was fired because I followed the instruction that the woman from the immigration office gave me. I sent an email to the immigration office that I could confirm those people were over 18 years old,” he continued.

The dental hygienist then sued his employers and won damages. But the Region of Gotland appealed to the highest labor court in Stockholm and hired one of Sweden’s top-ranking lawyers “to crush” him, as he says on his website. On July 4 he learned that he lost his case and also admitted “economically bankrupted him and his family.” The dentist, who had worked in the sector for 10 years, was fined some 475,000 kroner ($54,000).

Illegal Immigrant Kills 2 Law Enforcement Officers in Car Crash, Receives $280 Fine, No Jail Time

Maryland: An illegal alien from Guatemala, Roberto Garza Palacios, received only a $280 fine for causing the deaths of an FBI agent and an arson investigator after he struck them with his vehicle as they stood on the side of a highway following an accident. The impact from Garza Palacios’ car sent the two off-duty officers over the median and into traffic.

An illegal immigrant killed two law enforcement officers in a car accident last December and was only fined $280.

The case was resolved at the end of last month when Roberto Garza Palacios was fined but avoided any jail time, according to a story by the Washington Post.

The prosecution proved that he drove in a “careless and imprudent manner,” but did not reach the level of a “gross deviation” from careful driving or a “reckless disregard” for human life, both of which would be necessary for more serious charges.

Back on Dec. 8, 2017, Carlos Wolff — an FBI agent and legal immigrant from Venezuela — was texting while driving and hit the concrete median on I-270 in Maryland. Sander Cohen — an arson investigator — stopped to help him.

While both of them were standing on the side of the highway, Garza Palacios struck them, sending both off-duty officers over the median and into the traffic. They both died.

Rap Sheet: 305 Acts of Violence and Harassment Against Trump Supporters by Leftists, 60 Graphic Videos

More than 300 acts of violence and harassment against Trump supporters have been documented, with more than 60 graphic videos!  The media is complicit as it encourages and foments attacks on conservatives.

305 Acts of Media Approved Violence and Harassment Against Trump Supporters

When not calling Trump supporters “Nazis” as a means to dehumanize us, the establishment media like to whine about the lack of civility in American politics, even as they cover up, ignore, downplay, or straight-up approve of the wave of violence and public harassment we are seeing against supporters of President Trump.

It is open season on Trump supporters, and the media is only fomenting, encouraging, excusing, and hoping for more… The media are now openly calling Trump supporters “Nazis” and are blaming Trump for a mass murder he had nothing to do with. This, of course, is a form of harassment because it incites and justifies mob violence.

Here is the list, so far, and remember that if any one of these things happened to a Democrat, the media would use the story to blot out the sun for weeks. Remember how crazy the media went over a nobody rodeo clown who wore an Obama mask, a GOP staffer who criticized Obama’s daughters? And yet, hundreds of Trump supporters are harassed and brutalized and the media only dutifully report them, if at all. That is because the media are desperate to normalize and justify violence and harassment against Trump and his supporters.

And while the media openly encourage this violence against us, the media also campaign to disarm us, to take away our Second Amendment right to defend ourselves.

This list will be updated as needed. Back-filling it will be an ongoing project over…

Here is a video channel dedicated to documenting the dozens and dozens of assaults against Trump supporters.

Please email [email protected]  with any updates or anything you think deserves to be added to this list. Also, if you see errors — duplicate postings or events misinterpreted as attacks on Trump supporters, please let us know. Unlike the establishment media’s reporting, we want this list to be comprehensive and factual.

Italy Migrant Arrivals Fall by 80% in 2018 under Populist Government

Italy: Immigration has dropped 80% under populist government compared to same period last year. The UN reported that 16,919 migrants arrived by sea into Italy so far this year, whereas over the same period in 2017 a total of 85,197 migrants had arrived. The dramatic drop in migrant arrivals began with agreements between Italy and the Libyan coast guard to prevent NGOs from picking migrants and acting as a “shuttle service.”

Italy has witnessed a remarkable drop in new migrant arrivals in 2018, with numbers for the first half of the year 80 percent lower than over the same period last year.

According to data released Monday by the United Nations immigration agency (UNHCR), a total of 16,919 migrants have arrived by sea into Italy this year as of July 8, whereas over the same period in 2017 a total of 85,197 migrants had arrived.

Unsurprisingly, the number of migrant deaths in the central Mediterranean Sea has also decreased significantly, falling from 2,258 to less than half that, or 1,058, in the same six-month period. The drop in migrant sea deaths due to more stringent immigration policies demonstrates that tougher immigration regulation in these situations helps save lives, contrary to the fallacious argument to the contrary.

The total number of migrants lost at sea reached its highest point in 2016, with 4,578 migrants declared either dead or missing. That year also marked the record number of migrants arriving across the Mediterranean onto Italian shores, a total of 181,436, UNHCR revealed.

Discouraging migrants from attempting the perilous crossing has proven to be the most effective remedy to the high number of migrant sea deaths, addressing the concern of Pope Francis that the Mediterranean was becoming a “vast cemetery” for migrants.

The dramatic drop in migrant arrivals began with accords made last summer between Italy and the Libyan coast guard to prevent NGOs from picking migrants up off the coast of that nation and has been further fueled by the new populist government’s hardline stance against illegal immigration and its resistance to the infamous NGO “shuttle service” from North Africa.

New Study Shows Higher Vitamin D Levels Reduce Risk of Breast Cancer

Breast cancer is the second most common form of cancer affecting women, and claims 41,000 lives each year in the US. A new study claims that women who maintained higher blood levels of vitamin D slashed their risk of developing the disease by 20%. Researchers also found that taking a vitamin D supplement at least four times a week could cut cancer risk by 11%. Vitamin D also protects against bladder cancer, heart attack, heart disease, high blood pressure and stroke. Sunlight is a natural source of vitamin D, and some foods contain D3.

With the exception of skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common form of cancer among women – with the disease claiming the lives of about 41,000 women every year in the United States. Thankfully, there is mounting evidence that maintaining healthy vitamin D levels can protect against a variety of diseases, especially breast cancer.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that women are at increasing risk for breast cancer as they age, and notes that the average age of diagnosis for women is 61. Now, a new study involving postmenopausal female participants over 55 shows that increasing vitamin D levels can help cut the risk in this group.

Let’s take a closer look at the encouraging scientific findings.

Higher vitamin D levels in the blood will slash breast cancer risk

According to a new study conducted by researchers at University of California San Diego School of Medicine and published in June in PLOS One, higher levels of vitamin D are linked with decreasing risk of breast cancer.

To conduct the study, the team analyzed data from randomized clinical trials and prospective studies involving over 5,000 female participants, with an average age of 63.

And, the results set a remarkable new standard for what scientists consider to be “healthy” blood levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D (the form vitamin D takes in the body).

The study suggests that the minimum vitamin D blood level for protective health benefits is 60 nanograms per milliliter – exactly three times the amount of 20 ng/mL recommended in 2010 by the National Academy of Medicine.

Maintaining optimal levels of vitamin D appears to result in a very substantial health dividend.

According to the study’s lead author Dr. Cedric F. Garland – an adjunct professor in the UC San Diego Department of Family Medicine and Public Health – participants with blood levels above 60 ng/mL had one-fifth the risk of breast cancer when compared to women with levels of under 20 ng/mL.

Garland noted that the study shows the “strongest association yet” between vitamin D levels and reduction in breast cancer risk.

Vitamin D study built on previous research

The latest study built on previous epidemiological research on the relationship between breast cancer and vitamin D.

For example, the “Sister Study,” published in July 2017 in Environmental Health Perspectives, assessed women with sisters who had been diagnosed with breast cancer – a fact that placed the women at higher breast cancer risk – and compared the participants who eventually developed breast cancer with a group of cancer-free women.

The team found that women with vitamin D levels of at least 38 ng/mL were 21 percent less likely to develop cancer, when compared with women who had levels of 24.6 ng/mL or less.

(Note: a measurement of under 20 ng/mL of vitamin D is considered a deficiency).

Researchers also found that taking a vitamin D supplement at least four times a week could cut cancer risk by 11 percent.

And the association was even more pronounced in postmenopausal women. Supplement use in this group was linked to a 17 percent reduced risk for breast cancer.

Exciting news: Vitamin D seems to increase odds of breast cancer survival

Healthy vitamin D levels have been associated with lowered risk of bladder cancer, heart attack, heart disease, high blood pressure and stroke. (Bonus: scientists say that this indispensable nutrient also helps to activate longevity genes.)

Dr. Garland, a longtime advocate of vitamin D and its health benefits, has linked the nutrient in previous research with reductions in risk of multiple myeloma and adult leukemia, along with lung and bladder cancers.

Even more encouragingly – evidence suggests that vitamin D can not only help prevent cancer, but actually lead to better outcomes in women who do develop the disease.

According to a study published in JAMA Oncology, breast cancer patients with the highest blood serum levels of vitamin D had the highest likelihood of surviving the disease.
