Department of Homeland Security to Track Bloggers and Media Influencers

The Department of Homeland Security wants to track the comings and goings of journalists, bloggers and other “media influencers” through a database of 290,000 news sources including online, print, broadcast and social media. Russia Blames Israel for Airstrike on Syria this Morning, Pentagon Denies Responsibility

The airbase houses Iranians, Russians and members of the Lebanese armed group, Hezbollah, Israel’s sworn enemy, whom they attacked in February. Israel refused comment on the airstrike, but it has claimed in its prior attacks on Syria that it is preventing weapons transfer to Hezbollah. Israel is very concerned that Iran is establishing a military presence in Syria. Russia claims there is no sign of chlorine gas or any other substance used against civilians in Douma, the site of the reported chemical attack.
