Google banned ads for cryptocurrencies including ICOs, crypto wallets, cryptocurrency exchanges, and services related to providing crypto trading advice. Twitter is considering a similar ban. The price of Bitcoin dropped 12% in response to the news. -GEG

Twitter could be the next major Internet company to ban crypto-related ads, according to reports that surfaced Sunday.

According to Sky News, Twitter will revamp its advertising policy so that those for ICOs, token sales, and cryptocurrency wallets will no longer be allowed. The new policy could take effect in as few as two weeks.

As the news went viral, Bitcoin’s price continued to slide. At the beginning of the weekend on Friday, its price was about $8,500. At the time of writing (New York time), it was hovering around $7,500.

Let’s discuss.

h2 Who’s who of the crypto ad bans/h2

If Twitter does ban crypto-related ads, the action would follow that of its much larger social media competitor Facebook (NASDAQ:FB). In January, Facebook announced that it was banning crypto-related ads, including ICOs.

Google (NASDAQ:GOOGL) stated last week that it would no longer allow for advertising for cryptocurrencies and related content. Specifically, Google’s advertising change also applies to ICOs and crypto wallets, but also to cryptocurrency exchanges, and services related to providing crypto trading advice.

Its halt is scheduled to not begin until June and is part of a sweeping crackdown on high-risk and unregulated financial products, we reported last week.

h2 Paranoia?/h2

With these moves from such prominent Internet companies, one can’t help but to think that cryptos are coming under attack. Or, are these companies simply being paranoid over the still growing, and unfamiliar crypto space?

Maybe not.

In our reporting, we told you about Google removing roughly 79 million ads that lured online users to websites infected with malware.

The amount of malware that has been found may mitigate notions that these companies are being paranoid by putting these ad bans in place. One of the ways crooks have been able to take over personal computers to mine cryptos is through malware.

FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe Fired by AG Jeff Sessions

Former FBI Deputy Director, Andrew McCabe, was fired on Friday and said that his dismissal was an attempt to undermine special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian meddling.  Congress is still awaiting the Inspector General’s report. -GEG

Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe called his dismissal an attempt to undermine special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian meddling, according to a report Friday from The New York Times.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired McCabe Friday night over allegations he authorized the disclosure of sensitive information to a reporter. McCabe believes his dismissal, who served as sitting FBI director after James Comey’s ousting last May, is an effort to derail Mueller’s probe.

“The idea that I was dishonest is just wrong. This is part of an effort to discredit me as a witness,” McCabe told reporters Friday shortly after his dismissal. Some viewed the outgoing deputy director as a potential witness in a probe determining the degree with which Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election.

McCabe is accused in a yet-to-be-released internal FBI report of not being forthcoming about the nature of a conversation he authorized between FBI officials and a journalist. McCabe had shown a lack of candor under oath on multiple occasions, Sessions said in a press statement Friday shortly after the announcement.

“The F.B.I. expects every employee to adhere to the highest standards of honesty, integrity and accountability,” said Sessions, who recused himself last May from ruling on aspects of any probe into Russian meddling. “I have terminated the employment of Andrew McCabe effective immediately.”

McCabe’s time at the agency has been tumultuous one. He oversaw the probes into both the Trump campaign and Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server during her time at the State Department. He also publicly called out the White House on national television over whether Comey had lost the support of rank-and-file F.B.I. agents.

Why Paul Manafort Is President Trump’s Worst Nightmare

Jake Morphonios pulls together the not-so-obvious facts about the Mueller investigation of Paul Manafort, Trump’s former campaign Manager, and shows how it is a major factor in the ongoing power struggle in the Trump administration. Trump’s political survival hangs in the balance, and which way it will tip may depend on his ability to convince the Ukraine government (through the use of US tax dollars) to deny Mueller the documentation he seeks to prove Manafort’s corruption in Ukraine. If Manafort is taken down, he could take Trump with him. It’s a can of worms, but if you are curious about how the world of politics really works, you will want to see this video. [The posting of this commentary to Need to Know does not necessarily mean that we agree will all the opinions expressed, but we do feel the information is critical to understanding what now is going on behind the scenes within the Trump administration. Banned in the UK: American Journalist Who Was Deported Finally Gets Interview with Tommy Robinson

American journalist, Brittany Pettibone, was detained and then deported from the UK because she intended to interview anti-immigration activist, Tommy Robinson, who had been imprisoned for speaking out against crimes committed by Muslims. Pettibone finally was able to interview Robinson in Vienna, and this is it. If Robinson’s story is true – as we have every reason to believe it is, he was treated by the UK government in a manner that is reminiscent of the Soviet police state of the 1950s. Watch the interview and judge for yourself. -GEG

Summary by JW Williams
Brittany Pettibone, an American journalist who was detained for three days and deported from the UK because she wanted to interview British anti-immigration activist Tommy Robinson was able to sit down with him in Vienna for a barn-burner of an interview.
Robinson was unjustly accused of being a terrorist and inciting racial hatred and was been imprisoned multiple times for telling the truth about Muslim violence, rape, and Sharia Law that has infected the UK as a result of mass immigration. His troubles began nine years ago when he formed an organization to counter abuse from Muslims at a military parade in 2009, which morphed into the English Defense League.  Since that time, he has become well known for speaking against Muslim grooming gangs that target native British children for gang rape.
Robinson explains how he was harassed by police, which included raids on his home and his parents’ home and the arrest of his pregnant wife.  British authorities tax-audited his entire family, including his parents, who they wanted to arrest, searching for financial crimes.  They finally convicted Tommy for tax evasion, and he went to prison allegedly for mortgage fraud by his brother-in-law. He went to prison again  for 12 months for coming to the US, on a friend’s visa, to speak against Islamification. For that, he spent 22 weeks in solitary confinement.
Robinson says that prison in the UK is racially segregated and has become a jihad training ground.  Muslim inmates run the prisons because they have long sentences, so they have little to lose.  The prison planned to deliver him to the same prison that housed the terrorists who had tried to kill him on a prior occasion.  The British government is claiming that Robinson is a terrorist, and he is convinced they intend to kill him – or make sure he is killed by those whose crimes he is exposing.
He says his social media accounts are likely to be removed, so he intends to build the biggest alternative-media channel in Europe within 12 months.
