Muslim “Feminist” Linda Sarsour Is Accused of Covering Up Sexual Assault

Linda Sarsour, the controversial Muslim activist and Women’s March organizer, is accused of covering up the sexual assault of an underling and then bullying her into silence.  Asmi Fathelbab worked as a contractor for Sarsour’s organization, the Arab American Association, in 2009 and reported that a man in the office pinned her against the wall and rubbed his crotch against her on numerous occasions.  In response, Sarsour fat-shamed the woman on social media, and then had her blacklisted from political jobs in New York. -GEG

Controversial Muslim activist and Women’s March organizer Linda Sarsour bullied an underling to cover up sex-abuse allegations in her Brooklyn office, a report said.

Asmi Fathelbab told blog The Daily Caller that a man repeatedly rubbed his crotch on her while she worked for the association under Sarsour in 2009.

But when Fathelbab reported the abuse, Sarsour — a self-proclaimed feminist and co-founder of the Women’s March organization — fat-shamed the woman and threatened to blacklist her from political jobs, the woman told the website.

“She oversaw an environment unsafe and abusive to women,” said Fathelbab. “Women who put [Sarsour] on a pedestal for women’s rights and empowerment deserve to know how she really treats us.”

The Daily Caller reportedly spoke on condition of anonymity with another association employee and a political operative that worked alongside the organization, and both corroborated Fathelbab’s account of the abuse and Sarsour’s intimidation.

Fathelbab took a contract gig with the association in 2009 and claims she was repeatedly accosted by a man who lived in the same Bay Ridge building as the group’s office.

“He would pin me against the wall and rub his crotch on me,” she told the Caller.

“It was disgusting… You have no idea what it was like to stand up and feel that behind you.”

But Sarsour called her a “liar” when Fathelbab reported it and told her “something like this didn’t happen to women who looked like me,” Fathelbab charged, clarifying on Twitter that the the rebuff was a dig at her weight.

Charlottesville Police Chief Resigns After Damning Report

Charlottesville Police Chief Al Thomas resigned Monday following criticism from an investigative report of his handling of the Unite-the-Right rally. The report said that Thomas ordered police to allow the alt-right, KKK, and neo-nazi protesters to violently clash with counter-protesters because that would make it easier to declare an unlawful assembly.  Thomas denies telling his officers to “let them fight”.  Note, however, that the report did not claim that he said “let the fight”. Instead, it accurately reported that he ordered officers to do nothing to interfere. -GEG

Charlottesville Police Chief Al Thomas resigned Monday following criticism that he and his department had been woefully ill-prepared to handle the August Unite The Right rally.

The decision comes just 17 days after the release of a damning 207-page report by former U.S. district attorney Tim Heaphy, The Washington Post reported Monday. The report indicated that police were poorly trained for handling the protest and failed to implement an effective plan. The police fumble resulted in the death of one counter protester, who was struck by a speeding car. Police also suffered two fatalities after a law enforcement helicopter crashed in the vicinity of the protest.

“Nothing in my career has brought me more pride than serving as the police chief for the city of Charlottesville,” Thomas said in a press release. “I will be forever grateful for having had the opportunity to protect and serve a community I love so dearly. It truly has been an unparalleled privilege to work alongside such a dedicated and professional team of public servants. I wish them and the citizens of Charlottesville the very best.”

According to the report, Thomas ordered police to let the alt-right, KKK, and neo-nazi protesters clash with counter-protesters briefly, claiming it would then be easier for his department to declare an unlawful assembly. Thomas, however, denies ever telling his officers to “let them fight.”

The report also claims that city and state police were unable to communicate during the protest because they were on different radio channels, according to CBS news.
