​First President of ​ Facebook​ Boasts of Creating Features​ ​that Would Be Addictive and Harmful

Sean Parker, the first president of Facebook who helped design the website, boasted that he and other Facebook creators knew they were creating something harmful and addictive.  They intentionally exploited a human vulnerability, which psychologists call the social-validation feedback loop, knowing it would harmful to normal development in the long run.  Parker said, “It literally changes your relationship with society and each other.  God only knows what it is doing to our children’s brains.”
